Sorting Truth from Nonsense

I could simply be jaded. I’ve been going to such gatherings for over thirty years now, and at this point, they hardly impress me with their novelty. But I may not be alone. One has the sense that for many, the energy that gave rise to the New Age has ebbed.

Even the term “New Age” has come to sound stale, harking back to the ’80s and the Harmonic Convergence, and, still further, to the spirituality of the 1960s counterculture. Commercial interests have backed away from the name, preferring the term “mind-body-spirit” or “MBS.” In January 2012, New Age Retailer, the primary trade magazine for this field in the US, changed its name to Retailing Insight.

Was the New Age a fad? Was it a noble but misguided hope that the world was ready for an enlightenment to which it now seems indifferent or hostile? Probably neither. More likely this is the case: much of what the New Age pioneered, including yoga, meditation, and organic foods, has become mainstream. Thus you could say the New Age won out in many ways – but at the cost of seeming fresh.

What about its ideas? Many of them too entered the mainstream and have even become clichés. At this point, it may be useful to step back and look at some of the clichés of the New Age and see how well they stand up.
The New Age

Let’s start with the phrase “New Age” itself. It goes back far beyond the ’60s, even beyond the turn of the twentieth century. It first started being used in 1864, when an American clergyman, Warren Felt Evans, published a book entitled The New Age and Its Messenger.

Evans was propounding the ideas of the great Swedish visionary Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772). In the 1740s Swedenborg underwent a series of spiritual awakenings that, he said, gave him access to the invisible realms and to the hidden meanings of Scripture. One of his most remarkable claims was that the Last Judgment of the Bible had no resemblance to the way it was seen by conventional Christianity. It was never meant to mean Christ’s second coming on the earth. In fact, it took place entirely in the world of spirits, a realm which, in Swedenborg’s theology, occupies a middle place between heaven and hell and serves as a clearinghouse for the newly deceased. This spirit realm had accumulated a great deal of debris, such as base and mean entities, and it needed a housecleaning. The Lord accomplished this in the year 1757.

This Last Judgment, according to Swedenborg, had no immediate consequences for life on earth. Its only effect would be to weaken the power of spiritual tyranny and oppression (notably on the part of the Catholic Church, but also among the Protestants). New horizons on the spiritual world would therefore open. This was the New Age that Evans proclaimed, and Swedenborg was its messenger.

In his way Swedenborg was right. Many of the religious shackles that seemed solid in the eighteenth century have been broken. There is still a great deal of nonsense, deception, and crime in religion, but there is also much more freedom of inquiry – even the freedom not to believe if you don’t want to.

Since the nineteenth century, Swedenborg has faded into comparative obscurity, and Evans, once a best-selling author, has been almost completely forgotten. But the term “New Age” was given new life in the twentieth century by figures such as the British esotericist Alice Bailey, and, as we have seen, the New Age as an ideal reached its own peak in the late twentieth century.

To go back to the initial question: how much truth is there in this idea of a New Age?

In a trivial sense, every age is a new age. Today we face unprecedented dangers and opportunities. So did our fathers; so did our grandfathers. So will our children and grandchildren. Thus it has been since the beginning of history.

But I don’t believe the human condition is going to change in any radical way in the future. Whatever wonders and disasters we may engender, we will still be born, love, experience pleasure and pain, and die as humans have since the beginning of time. As Anton Chekhov said in his play Three Sisters, written in 1900: “When we’re dead people will fly around in balloons, there will be a new style in men’s jackets and a sixth sense may be discovered and developed, but life itself won’t change, it will still be as difficult and full of mystery and happiness as it is now.”

Paradigm Shift

This phrase is often connected to the idea of the New Age. “Paradigm” means a scientific model. The Ptolemaic view of the solar system, which put the earth at the centre, was one such paradigm. It was replaced by another: the Copernican paradigm, which puts the sun at the centre.

How did the new view replace the old one? The historian of science Thomas Kuhn asked this question in his influential book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. His answer goes something like this: A scientific model inevitably has some flaws. It explains the data, but not quite perfectly. There are anomalies. For a long time, these are set aside and either explained away or simply ignored. But after a certain point, too many anomalies accumulate and can no longer be set aside. Science must then find another model – another paradigm.

In the case of astronomy, the Ptolemaic view explained the movements of the planets quite well in light of the observations that could be made at the time (up to the sixteenth century). This even included the retrograde motion of the planets. If the planets moved around the earth, why did they sometimes move backwards in the sky? The Ptolemaic theory replied by posting epicycles – meaning that the planets not only revolved around the earth but moved in small cyclical orbits as they did.

Eventually, the epicycle theory, which still did not match the data entirely, began to break down. Astronomers responded by posting epicycles within epicycles, but there was a point when this model seemed implausible. Another one had to be found. The theory of Copernicus, modified by Kepler, accounted for the planets’ motion much better. This was a scientific revolution, also known as a paradigm shift.

The paradigm shift that the New Age speaks of is vaguer. To some degree, it has to do with another scientific revolution – from Newtonian to quantum physics. Newtonian physics is mechanistic and materialistic: it is a universe of ricocheting billiard balls. The quantum universe is much stranger, and some of its most brilliant theorists have stressed how bizarre and counterintuitive it is. But one idea from quantum theory has captured the public imagination: the observer affects the results of an experiment simply by the process of observation. This theory seems to place consciousness, rather than matter, at the centre of the universe.

This idea fascinates people who dislike the meaningless, materialistic Newtonian universe. Some physicists, such as Amit Goswami, author of The Visionary Window and other works, say quantum theory proves that consciousness is the ground of all being. This is a step many other scientists are not willing to take, largely because quantum theory talks about the behaviour of submolecular particles; they are very reluctant to say quantum effects occur on greater scales. Quantum physics is sometimes defined, in fact, as “the science of the very small.”

What does this all amount to? There is certainly a new scientific paradigm (although it is well to remember that much of quantum theory was in place by 1930, making it nearly a hundred years old). But this new paradigm, as understood and applied by physicists themselves, does not prove consciousness is the ground of all existence. Nor is it leading toward a more holistic and satisfying view of the universe. In fact, the trend is going in the opposite direction.

A generation ago there was much excitement, at least in the popular mind, about the connections between quantum physics and mysticism. But the majority of scientists, rightly or wrongly, have never bought it. They remain firmly materialistic in their outlook.

Other disciplines have also moved backward. The psychology of the ’60s and ’70s embraced humanistic and transpersonal perspectives, but to all appearances, this process has been turned around. Neuroscience has had so much luck modifying behaviour through pharmaceuticals that now scientists seem to assume more or less universally that consciousness is a mere side-effect of brain states. (Never mind that this claim has never been proved or even explained in any kind of coherent way.) Computer science, for its part, has made such progress in simulating brain processes that some people now believe it will soon be possible to download your consciousness into a computer, allowing cognition to go on through the operation of a machine rather than a brain. You will no longer need your body to be you. Minds are machines, whether they are made of carbon-based protein or silicon.

In short, the paradigm that was so fondly expected to bring about a new, satisfying, and holistic view of man’s place in the universe failed to arrive. Conventional science, for all its accomplishments, is as drearily materialistic as it was in the days of Queen Victoria.

That is not to say the change will never come. Trends reverse themselves without warning, and fashions in science come and go almost as arbitrarily as the ones in couture. But that is how it looks now.

You Create Your Own Reality

In a trivial sense, this is certainly true. Your senses and nerves and brain filter the data from the outside world (whatever this “outside world” ultimately is) and create a picture of reality that enables you to function.

But some New Agers go further. They say that all you have to do is change your thinking and the world will change automatically.

To some degree, this is true as well. Say you are having money trouble. Try this mental experiment. Believe, as fully as you can, that a cheque for a million dollars is coming to you next week. Suddenly your problems will seem to vanish. You will have no worries.

Your thinking certainly changes the way you feel. But the claim that you create your own reality is a little stronger than this. It is saying that if you believe hard enough that this cheque will be coming, it will come: the universe will manifest it for you. And this idea is harder to swallow. At best, it can motivate you to strive to bring more money into your life; at worst, it is nothing more than daydreaming.

Some people practice creative visualisation. By this method, you formulate a vivid mental picture, and you concentrate on it so that the energy you are directing will make it appear in the physical world. This can and sometimes does work. But it very often brings unwanted consequences in its wake. You can visualise a cheque for a million dollars, and the cheque may appear. But you didn’t count on the fact that you would get into a crippling accident, and the cheque is to compensate you for the fact that you will never walk again. Granted, this is an extreme example. Another more likely outcome is that you will find that you really didn’t want what you were asking for and were disappointed when you got it.

A few weeks ago, for no reason that I can discern, a file suddenly opened up on my computer. It said, “Please, God, protect me from everything I have been praying for.” I wrote it several years earlier and had completely forgotten about it. Evidently, I needed to hear it again.

Another thing is often overlooked: You are not the only one creating your own reality. There are others like you. All of them have the same power over reality that you do. And you are part of their reality as well.

This fact raises a large but unexamined question: if we create our own reality, it must be a collective creation. And what is the effect of all these minds creating and co-creating together? How do the thoughts of your neighbours, your countrymen, your fellow humans as a whole, affect you? How do the minds of many engender a collective reality?

This is, I believe, one of the most important questions facing humanity today. There is a collective imagination – psychologist Charles Tart called it “consensus trance” – that shapes our reality as much as, and probably more than, our own private thoughts do.

As far as I can tell, psychology has not dealt with this question or even acknowledged it. It is true that the psychiatrist C.G. Jung spoke of the collective unconscious. He touched upon collective mentalities in some of his articles, such as “Wotan,” which discussed the resurgence of an old Germanic archetype in the Nazi ideology, and “The Complications of American Psychology,” which related the American psyche to the nature of the land in which it found itself. From another angle, the Russian psychologist V.M. Bekhterev explored mass and mob behaviour in his book Collective Reflexology. Bekhterev, who saw the Russian Revolution firsthand, had plenty of observations to work from. Even so, the science of collective psychology is embryonic.

Thus up to a point, it is true you create your own reality. But so does everyone else, and you are part of that reality too. The question for the twenty-first century is how we create our reality.
Be Here Now

Let’s turn to one of the most famous artefacts of the New Age. A squarish, large-format paperback book, with a purple cover, its contents printed on rough brown paper that looks like wrapping material. Its title:Be Here Now. Its creator: the beloved American guru Richard Alpert, best known as Ram Dass. The words, passed down clumsily with letterpress as if to simulate the visual distortions caused by LSD, urge you to awaken:

What are you doing?

Planning for the future?

Well

IT’s ALL RIGHT NOW

But later?… Forget it baby

That’s later

Now is

NOW

Are you going to

BE HERE or not?

IT’S AS SIMPLE AS THAT!…

If you get so efficient…

If you’ve got to turn off all the vibrations of the scene…
because you’re so busy

about the future

or the past

or time has caught you…

IT COSTS TOO MUCH!

No message from the New Age has burned itself into the collective mind as deeply as this command: Be here now. The past is an artificial construct. The future is an equally artificial construct. There is only the present moment. There is always only the present moment. This is the way to liberation.

The idea still reverberates. Just as its effect was starting to fade, Eckhart Tolle came out with a booster shot: the best-selling Power of Now, published in 2004.

No one could possibly refute this idea. It is always now, and, it would seem, the atomic moments felt through meditative awareness – an endless chain of nows, each one inexorably strung upon its predecessor – bring us as close to ultimate reality as we are likely to come in this world.

As a mental discipline, what has sometimes been called “the doctrine of the present” has no peer. Every moment – or, rather, every moment you are aware of it – you bring your attention to the present; you sense your feet on the floor and feel the breath go in and out. The welterings of your mind subside. You are centred and at peace.

How could anyone question this?

In essence, I could not hope to. But in practice, another view arises.

There is the sensation of my foot on the floor. This is direct, immediate, real. There are, on the other hand, the thoughts and fantasies and daydreams in my head, flowing before my mesmerised eyes like the scenes of a thriller. By contrast, they seem unreal.

But maybe this is not the whole picture. Am I not, after all, experiencing all these supposedly delusory thoughts in the present as well? Why should one experience be held up as real and genuine, while the other is despised as false?

Someone who goes to a few of the innumerable talks given by Tibetan lamas in the West will sometimes hear them denigrate the conceptual mind – the ‘monkey mind’ that must be suppressed, or even killed if enlightenment is to occur. But I once heard the Dalai Lama speak, and he criticised this point of view. Although I don’t remember his exact words, I do remember that he said this contempt for the conceptual mind was unjustified, that this part of the mind too has its place, and one must not try to uproot or kill it.

And sometimes this conceptual mind will take you out of the present.

The present, then, that magic moment that discloses God, is only one of innumerable types of experience. It is well, of course, to be able to recognise and rest in it. But it may not be wise, and it certainly seems impossible, to stay there all the time.

R.H. Blyth, in his celebrated collection of essays Zen and Zen Classics, writes: “Where Buddhism makes its great mistake is in asking for eternity without time. As Blake said, ‘Eternity is in love with the productions of time’.”
Peace

Peace. If there is one word that encapsulates the New Age, it is this one. In its day, it was more than a word. It was a gesture (the fingers forming a V, the palm facing out in an exact reversal of Churchill’s ‘V for victory’ gesture). It was an ideograph, the circle bisected vertically, with two other lines extended down from the centre – a combination of two letters in semaphore code standing for ND or “nuclear disarmament.”

But peace – a cliché? That is a harsh verdict. And if it is, you will say, we need more of such clichés. And badly.

In the ’60s the peace movement was the result of a genuine collective impulse. It was not only the recent memory of the horrors of the Second World War. It was also an aftershock from the Cuban missile crisis of 1962 when the world came the closest it has ever come to nuclear war. In the US, the peace movement was also a response to the Vietnam conflict and to the real likelihood that, like the states in Orwell’s 1984, the superpowers would maintain a permanent state of war.

Events turned out differently from the expectations, as events always do. The threats to world peace that seemed so menacing during the Cold War are gone, but they have been replaced by others, and when these are gone, there will be others still.

Do we need a peace movement to turn ourselves around? I think we do, but I also think we have never had a genuine peace movement. What we have had are antiwar movements. And to be against war is not the same thing as to be for peace.

Earlier in this article, I talked about the possibility that thoughts play a part – a major part – in shaping reality. And I think this is the case. In this light what are we to make of today’s mentality, which projects so much hatred toward its leaders? Do they deserve it? Maybe – but you are not making them any better or their work any easier by directing hatred and vituperation at them. Not if there is the dimmest bit of truth to the idea that your thoughts create reality. And of course, this goes double for any collective feelings of hatred.

In this light I find myself thinking about the possibility of a peace march – a genuine peace march. Such an event would be aimed not at stopping the latest war but at offering peace and blessings to the leadership of the nation, of any and all ideologies, without any agenda whatsoever. This would be a real peace march because it would be offering peace rather than opposition, blessings rather than grievances. I wonder what effect it would have.

A cliché, of course, could never become a cliché unless it is widely disseminated. And it would never become widely disseminated if it did not have much truth, and even wisdom, in it. So it is with the clichés of the New Age. Many of them are rooted in ancient and indeed perennial truths. That these truths need to be recast and restated in the language of a particular time and place is hardly a flaw; it is a way of adapting them to the needs of a generation. They will be restated and recast in many ways in the generations to come.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-38823658926177326002016-10-18T19:16:00.000-07:002017-03-19T17:06:00.420-07:00The Hour is Getting Late

There is a very real drama unfolding all around us, and also within each one of us. The intensity of this drama is without recent precedent and is now being realized on a stage spanning the length and breadth of the planet and beyond.

It’s a race against time, played-out within a gathering storm of conflicting energies. Human aspiration and inspiration clashing head-on with inhuman domination and destruction. And we are all caught in the gathering turbulence, witnessing the rapid dissolution of props and pillars we once took to be secure and dependable fixtures of our daily lives.

Our home, this planet, is in deep crisis, raped, polluted and torn by war, she is on the edge of collapse. While human society carries on as though there was no crisis at all; just a number of disturbances, inconveniences and maybe a slight feeling of insecurity creeping in at the edges.

So long as the great majority experience life this way, the nonhuman forces of repression and destruction are winning the race. But so long as this predatory majority is shrinking and the forces of aspiration and inspiration are advancing, the race is shifting in favour of victory for a great transformation in human awareness; accompanied by a healing of the third-degree wounds suffered by this planet.

Where are you within this unfolding drama? Are you consciously channeling your energies in support of life? Or are you still caught in the cul-de-sac of a stagnating status quo?

It has never been more crucial to know the answer to this question. It has never been more important to know what you’re doing with your life and to take action in making the shift so as to align with an emotional and actual commitment to building towards victory over the forces of death and destruction.

Time is running out for anyone still sitting on the fence. I’ll restate that slightly differently: time has run out for those still sitting on the fence.

Yes, every day that passes without one putting one’s energy firmly behind the push for deep and lasting change for the better is now going the other way: a contribution to that which is aligned with decline and death. Every day.

The hour is getting late. There is no ‘middle ground’ left. The four horses of the apocalypse can be heard making their long approach – do not allow yourself to be mesmerized by the sound of their hooves. Turn instead to face their advance. Stand as strong as a pillar of oak in your resistance.

Let all fear be banished from your veins. Find in yourself that total resolution you know you have.

It was at this time that you have gifted this power. Divine power.

Use it. It’s the last chance. Abuse it – and that chance is blown. The Universe is awaiting your move. And time itself has come to a halt. Your response is attended upon by all the forces of creation. Yes, I’m talking to you.

Drop the old baggage right where you stand. There’s nowhere left to go except where you have to go. If you try to stay in some in-between space, you’re lost, because it doesn’t exist. There is no space in between, except a virtual reality one. The world of lost souls, millions of them, clinging to that which is unreal; figments of an abstracted grasping mind, divorced from the true soul that would guide it on its way. The way.

Why cling to the illusory? It has nothing to offer you and you have nothing to offer it… it’s a place of ghosts.

There is a great danger on this planet, but it’s not the kind of danger you’re thinking about. It’s the danger that you won’t act when all that is energetic is calling upon you to act. Calling you to join the resistance against the forces of destruction. That is the greatest danger any individual can face; not acting when everything which actually matters is screaming for one to act.

I don’t want to overdo the words, time is precious. I want to inspire your inner sun, not your powers of reasoning, however, useful they may be. I want to feel you come alive with the power you are presently sitting on; sitting stewing on the reasons why you can’t make the changes you know you have to make.

Everything else is moving on. This Universe is expanding, still hungry, still exploring, still adventuring. Have you lost your appetite?

The dark-side strategists feed on those who are not in movement. They proclaim the benefits and convenience of stagnation. They need their slaves. They maintain their energies by feeding on yours! And until you act, you are prostituting yourself to them.

Every time you go to their phony kingdoms to buy your depleted food or to get your essentially valueless money, you prostitute yourself to the world of destruction. The sterile, denatured world of the soulless automaton that’s killing off our living planet. Yet you think it’s just normal! Or, you don’t think at all.

Now you’re getting a kick to wake-up to the reality and to act on it. It’s a rather bigger kick than usual because now you’re in the last chance saloon – and you’ve got no time left to sit around wondering what to do about it.

The hour is getting late, my friend.

The Illuminati controlled trading blocks of the world are tightening the noose. They are aiming for absolute control over all the resources of the planet; to own them. This means that even the vegetable seeds you might want to plant in your garden will be illegal unless you buy them from the trading block approved corporation. Genetically modified, for your convenient consumption.

Governments won’t step in to save them because governments are in the employ of corporations and not the other way around. They’ll go to war and rip the skin right off the face of the planet, to get what they want.

Your reaction to this should be “Not while I’m alive on this planet, they won’t!” But instead it’s more like “Oh God, what will stop them?” Or “Is it really that bad?”

You see, you’re not being primed by outrage. ‘Outrage’ is the fire that drives one to take action, and if instead of outrage there’s just a weak little flame flickering dimly in the dark, then you’re going to get swept away, like the rest of them.

Prime your lamp right now, turn up the wick, feel the absurdity of a world where nobody bothers to do anything that matters, but instead devote themselves to everything that doesn’t matter one iota! Get outraged by the sheer lunacy of this situation.

You are a child of creation – and yet you seem paralyzed to create.

Are you aware of mind control? Have you ever considered that you might be living someone else’s life? That the person you see in the mirror is not actually you at all? No, it’s the person you have tried to be, all this time – and that person is a mind controlled being. A being who has been fed the pap propaganda of the status quo: the Illuminati agenda.

That reflection in the mirror is an indoctrinated being who has suffered the fate of all those who fail to question the endless stream of lies which pour our of the control system that runs this planet.

When I warn you that you are walking blindly down a road to hell, you are more concerned about what the temperature will be when you get there than on getting off that road, whatever the cost.

The hour is getting late. Most of your friends have no conception of this fact. They continually try to talk you out of having any such notions. They are cannon fodder for the apocalypse; sacrificial units for the sustenance of Baphomet, secretly worshiped by the Masonic Illuminati bloodlines. The vampires of human creativity.

But I’ve said enough. Time to find the answers in yourself. Activate your survival mechanism; call forth the godly powers that will transport you to where you need to be. Do it: here and now. Find your courage and never let go.

I’ll meet you again on that road – or not at all.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-19866365693492068732016-10-17T19:24:00.000-07:002016-10-17T19:28:52.597-07:00Sucked Into Horror

Everything we see, touch, hear, smell, taste, feel… is on the record. It’s all in our personal databank – either in the conscious mind, with us experiencing it, thinking about it or recalling it… or in the vast subconscious mind.

It’s easy to bring back an event in life that has had a big emotional or feeling impact, such as the feeling of a blissful embrace or the emotion of fear experienced when viewing something that horrifies us. These large impact experiences, when recalled to mind, do have the ability to change our energy.

Wherever our energy/feeling is, that’s what we’re aligned to… celestial… demonic… feeling translates into alignment. So it follows that disciplining the mind and emotions is a very beneficial practice.

In the consciousness movement we have learned to monitor not only where we allow our minds and emotions to go, but also what we allow as incoming. We know that conditioning and programming are incoming, and these prolonged experiences serve to control our opinions and behaviors without us knowing.

Traumatic experiences are different in that we take them in as direct hits to our energy, and they can linger as stress and anxiety: dark thoughts, bad dreams, hyper-alertness, control trips and so on. Folks who have taken too many hits may look for means to escape the stress through drugs or distractions. It’s just the sad truth.

So… since we know these things about our consciousness, it begs the question of why we would believe it harmless to give our attention to images, videos and audios of another’s personal horror. Yes, this society dines on the pain of people’s private lives, but we if we’re not interested in that dinner, why EAT there?

What I’m talking about is photos, videos and audios of another person experiencing horror, or shame, or disgrace or even death… videos that mirror the most horrific mainstream entertainment, but are in fact not fictional. They are real people experiencing real pain.

An example would be an audio of a horrifying 911 emergency phone call, a video of someone being shot and killed, watching people jump out of the twin towers, and recently online, a video of a young woman minutes before her death wherein she was in terror of something that seemed other-worldly.

This video originated on a site I visit occasionally… I received an email, so clicked on it for a look. So sorry I did that… so sorry for her to be photographed and have her terror amplified in the collective mind thousands of times over.

Fear porn is not news and it’s not information: it’s something malicious. The audio and video offerings of human beings experiencing horror are vampiristic; quite capable of sucking the unaware listener/viewer into the pain that other human beings are experiencing.

With awareness of the power of incoming energy and its relationship to our alignment, we are wise to avoid exposure to these images and sounds as we would avoid exposure to a virus, and by all means keep our children away. The instinctive response is our best response: out of respect for human dignity, and the eternity of energy, we refuse to be sucked in.

Deeply personal embarrassments also have a tendency to show up on the Internet as well, and this, too, doesn’t speak well of the collective tendency to vampirism. The ‘fat girl’ doesn’t need her photo tagged with a comment and spread around to the derision of millions, nor does the man who stripped off his clothes and ran around while suffering from a mental breakdown. We might cringe when we see it, but the embarrassment or degradation still becomes part of us… and by our viewing it, we amplify the suffering. By re-posting it, we endorse it.

Detaching from any association with these things can be done fairly easily… if you have a clue what it’s going to be, just don’t click. Click on something that embodies more light and liberates you… no trauma, no high impact low vibe energy hit!

When we look at life as sacred, and many of us do, we have possibilities that are the polar opposite of being sucked into horror. With protection from unwanted incoming and reverence for the divine energies, we can put a little more light in our personal data-bank. And we want this, if we are ever to experience our unfettered true selves.

The light seems a perfect image to leave with you as we approach Halloween… an event that, in truth, is celebrated as a holy day for the demonic. The cultural programming we are inundated with would have us believe that imitating what we fear is harmless fun… unfortunately, it just isn’t so.

Doesn’t the horror story tell us that a vampire is unable to step across a threshold unless or until it is invited in? Don’t invite… don’t align… this too shall pass.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-83735625623978359152016-10-11T17:13:00.000-07:002016-10-11T17:13:00.851-07:00The Challenge of Eternal Life

<span style="color: #3b5436; font-family: "Palatino Linotype",serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;">

Eternal Life: a promise which has always seemed, well... let’s say... somewhat out of reach...

But then, whoever was it who told us that such a state might be attainable to Earth-bound mortals?

I’m not sure – was it Jesus? And then, would any of us actually consider this sort of eternal life a blessing? I doubt it... Maybe more the opposite, especially if this life was viewed as the template for all lives to come!

But what if it wasn’t – and some bolder vision was able to take center stage in our lives – what then?

What if talk of ‘eternal life’ was never supposed to be about human life alone, but to go much further and address the infinite power of the spirit which simply finds a passing home in our human bodies, on planet Earth. Seen in this light, our human bodies are the vehicles that both carry and are born along by the Great Spirit; and like all vehicles, they eventually wear out and are recycled. Yet the spirit carries on – eternally.

But when I refer to ‘we’ who or what exactly do I mean? Who are ‘we’? Could it be that ‘we’ are in fact as much spirit as we are third density corporeal beings? If so, well... maybe we could have some serious role in the drama called eternal life after all! Soaring upwards on our mission like Buzz Lightyear winging his way “To infinity ... and beyond”

Maybe up until now, we have been misled by the fact that the inquiry has centered around whether or not it is possible ‘to have eternal life’. For in the possessive verb ‘have’ we find a lack of movement – a lack of dynamic. Life is not, after all, a possession. And lest we forget, the movement is the one constant of universal physics... we cannot actually stand still... although by not intentionally grasping the joy of movement, we can stagnate; which is probably the closest one can come to ‘no movement’ and in that sense – death.

Yet as we know, the physical body has a limited life, breaking down into various forms of biological matter after completing its role in this life. In fact, in its state of decomposition – it still goes on – and also never stops moving. However, like all physical forms within third density existence, the process can be measured by time and is subject to the laws of gravity.

But then take a good look at these physical forms under a powerful microscope – and lo and behold they lose their three-dimensional fixedness – and start swirling around – in a wild dance of atoms. That’s us!

No need to head out for the party – it’s here and now! And the passage of time never diminishes this great dance – only transforms it.

So here we can see that ‘eternal life’ most probably really does exist and a snapshot of that eternal life is also observable at the subatomic quantum level. At this level, the process of transformation of even the minutest visible particles can be observed – as was the case of quantum physicist Neils Bohr – to shift enigmatically between a speck, a wave and a dance; while simultaneously, the absolute objectivity of perception of the viewer was called into question – because the viewer and what he/she views are not so distinct – but both part of one collective expression: Life.

The dancing wave under the microscope could equally be, in part, the vibrational input of the viewer and not simply the way a distant object behaves. Thus, the quantum experiment greatly expanded our awareness of the interactivity of what was previously considered ‘subject’ and ‘object’.

Eternal Life then is something we do access after all – so long as we get to realize who that ‘we’ is!

Hmm... did I say that already? Are we going around in a circle? No, not quite, because the Universe is actually not circular but an ellipse. . and the distinction is important. It is due to the ellipse that the power of magnetism gains enough strength to bend the light around stars on its way to Earth. A ‘bending’ which was brought to our attention by Albert Einstein.

Thus, life is not circular, we never return to exactly where we started on our great voyage but move up a notch on the completion of each revolution or cycle of life – often measured in periods such as seven, ten or fourteen years etc..

Observed from the outside, this could look like moving along one coil of a multi-coiled spiral. In moving onto the next loop of the coil we pass over the place where we were (so to speak) say seven years back; possibly even picking up some peripheral resonance – and memory – from the energy manifestation of that time. This, due to the fact that the ellipse creates points at which our journey moves closer to or further away from certain key transforming points. Just as, for example, Earth experiences more intense manifestations of (climatic) energy at winter and summer solstices – and when passing closer to or further from our sun and various planetary forces.

That our lives move in this spiral formation is due to a mix of forward propulsion and gravity – particularly the ellipse inspired gravity that is particular to this Universe.

Given the universality of spirit energy – with which our spirit is inseparable – it does become possible to speak about ‘living forever’ and being ‘infinite spirit’.

Although initially balking at the notion, it no longer seems quite so implausible... that in some way we really do live forever – forming endless links in an ongoing and inseparable chain of wave-like movements. These words come to you from a window that has just opened in the vast flowing current of this endless river.

At the point of transformation called death, the corporeal responds to gravity and goes downwards while the spirit defies gravity and is drawn upwards. At this point ‘we’ – provided we have embraced life with a certain fullness – are expressed as Spirit, and go with the uplift.

Once we allow ourselves to be subsumed into our universal origins – and destinies – we cannot separate our life span from that of this Universe which is our eternal home. A home which itself will eventually experience its own death and rebirth on the vast macrocosmic scale of the greater cosmos.

So we should rejoice in that which gives momentum to this ever expanding Creation. A Creation in which each of our lives plays their part, as a guiding force, and in which our memories form a collective well which can only be described as bottomless.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-1815046918347517022016-10-04T20:04:00.000-07:002016-10-04T20:04:08.505-07:008 Steps to Towards Non-Attachment

During our lives, we tend to form many attachments to various types of things. Many of us are so attached to the physical world that we become enslaved and possessed by the very things we adore.

Detachment is when someone has complete freedom from all that is seen or heard and doesn’t let any possessions take control of them. Practicing non-attachment gives us power over our emotions and feelings in relation to the attachments in our life.

Many people wonder, why does detachment matter? Why does it matter whether or not we’re attached to something? The answer is simple, if we’re not careful our attachment can lead to tragedy and heartbreak when change takes its unstoppable course. Attachment is the root cause of our suffering. Non-attachment is the ultimate form of self-mastery.

The first and most important concept when trying to incorporate non-attachment into your life is consciously acknowledging that everything that’s manifested in our physical world is temporary, not forever.

When you notice your attachment to anyone or to anything, ask yourself the following questions: “Why do I really desire this? What permanent advantage would I gain by possessing this? How would this possession help me towards greater knowledge and freedom?” Over and over again, the answers to these questions show us that the desired thing is useless in the long term and also may be potentially harmful by driving us into ignorance and bondage. Sometimes we may become aware that the things we desire, is something simply to fulfill a mere restlessness in the mind.

The mental state of non-attachment may come slowly, but even during the earliest stages of practice are rewarded by a sense of peace and freedom. Guaranteed success will come from being consistent with this spiritual discipline.

Practice Non-Attachment in 8 Steps

1. Ask yourself what realistic permanent advantage you should gain if you possessed your desire.

2. Let go of your attachment to money by making a donation or helping out someone in need.

3. Befriend yourself- your self-worth should come from within you, not from other peoples approvals.

4. Don’t seek security in people or things.

5. Overcome your attachment to entertainment

6. Let go of the need to be dominate or influential over others.

7. Stop living in an illusion- don’t overly attach yourself to your possessions or even your hopes and dreams.

8. Understand that all things naturally come and go. It’s unavoidable.

Non-attachment is easily misunderstood by many people as they might interrupt it as having to give up their possessions to feel “free”. This is far from the truth. Detachment is simply not feeling owned by the things you possess or desire.

There will be moments when impatience of frustration arises. But that’s alright as long as you allow the emotions to rise and dissolve. Do not feed or fuel the negative emotions.

The Benefits of Non-Attachment

· Expectations no longer rule your life.

· You see things for the way they are.

· You’re not bothered much by the physical world (but you don’t tolerate harmful behavior).

· Your heart grows even bigger and you love more because you don’t feel the need to control everything.

· You’re not attached to outcomes.

· Detachment is releasing vibrational resistance, allowing the law of attraction to work effectively for you.

· Be attached to nothing but be open to everything. Non-attachment is a freeing practice which will help you a lot when it comes to adjusting to change that takes place in the future.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-66968003186197070962016-09-27T15:03:00.000-07:002016-09-27T15:03:00.645-07:00The Division of Humanity by Humanity

The strategy of Divide and Conquer has been used throughout history almost every time there is one group that wants to dominate or defeat another group. It has been a tried and true strategy for generals on the battlefield to assist in winning wars. The same strategy has been used against humanity by those that desire to control us through various forms of manipulation. In fact, it is so engrained in our way of being that we almost relish in dividing ourselves which allows them to better conquer humanity.

The strategy in war makes perfect sense. If you divide the opposition into smaller groups, especially if your army is larger in numbers or fighting the power, then you are able to quickly defeat the smaller groups of fighters versus a larger mass or better-equipped group that can help defend themselves and attack offensively. Communication would play a vital role in this aspect as well. If a larger group is working together towards a goal with clear communication, then they have a higher probability of achieving the goal versus many units with possible communication barriers working on an assumed strategy versus constantly morphing strategies to react to the opposition.

Well, the same is applied to us, humanity, in our lives for as long as history has been recorded. There has always been a “Them vs. Us” mentality prevalent. It is evidenced in the ideas of nationalities, race, religion, political stance, economic status, education level, etc. Sadly, it appears that we, as humanity, have been manipulated in performing this task in the present day for those that wish to control us. In the last couple of generations in the western cultures if not further, it has been carried into fashion, physical appearance, volunteer status, material status, sports teams, type of beer you drink, music genres, and on and on.

Many people are quick to label themselves and join certain groups and allow those labels and groups to become their identity. Many constantly allow this to be something of debate more so than the logical truthful facts. They are quick to judge someone based upon a label they have given another person or the group of which that person affiliates. The debate over which label or group is better becomes the debate not the facts of the argument. In fact, if more people would stop with the stereotypes and focusing on which group they think someone belongs to, we may actually awaken as humanity to the nonsense that we are being manipulated into believing is our way of life.

Think about it. A Republican and a Democrat will argue over which group is better than the other for hours at a time. Yet, if they could put those “differences” aside (many of us know there really is no difference between the parties – they all serve the same corporations and “owners”), then they begin to awaken to the fact that most of what either party is doing are unacceptable. Yet, they continue to argue over points that do not serve any real value to humanity as a whole.

It is sad to say that this is an experience to those of us that are awake and try to avoid labels and stereotypes. In the community of awakened souls, you will find those that think they are more awakened than another. They will argue this fact versus spreading the truth that they both may be aware of and others need to hear to begin their awakening or even further their awakening. We focus too much on the absolute truth that we often loose others that are awakening to the bickering over the details.

I am not saying the details do not matter. I am saying that we are all on the same journey. Perhaps someone else is not taking the same size steps as you, but at least, they are stepping. Some may not realize all the truth, but at least, they are awakening and searching for more truth. Just as a young child is beginning to explore their world and think for themselves, we should never tell the child to quit asking questions or formulating their own thoughts even if they are not entirely accurate. We would eventually squash the child’s desire to learn more. The same thing is happening to awaken souls.

If we can stop doing the work of those that want to control us by stopping the labeling, grouping, and division of ourselves, we will move mountains. We have to remember that we are all souls in this journey of life and treat each other accordingly. It is fine to be aware of where someone else is in their journey of discovery of themselves and Truth, but do not judge them. Yes, some are imposters and are usually obvious of what their purpose and presence serve. I suspect those are weeded out quickly. However, they are still a soul that we have an opportunity to touch.

I do not advise kid’s gloves for everyone all the time. It has taken some pretty hard messages to keep me moving forward. It was the judging of me and the blatant “You are so wrong and doomed” that discouraged me from the search. We all have to toughen up on the road to discovering the truth of ourselves and Truth, but sometimes compassion can carry someone a lot further than tough cold love. Both have a purpose, but try to recognize when they should be applied.

Always remember, you are interacting with another soul. Our goal is to raise awareness and vibration. It should not be to shame others back into the dark and make them feel inferior. Just some food for thought for the next time you interact with a “sheeple” or not as “enlightened” soul as yourself. They are still a soul. We are all a part of humanity. We need each other in this battle. Division will not serve us well. We have to stand together. We have to help each other stand up to our potential.

Like a lot of things about this reality we experience, linear time is simply a very convincing illusion. It is an illusion created by consciousness, in fact so, is “space”. Closely related to the idea of “time” is the notion of “linear causality” — A causes B causes C. This notion is also just a very convincing illusion. The reality that we are experiencing is by no means an “objective reality” as most people presume. In fact, it is more like what we would conceive of as a virtual reality, but one with some very interesting rules.

Let’s briefly review the basics about what you and the universe really are and then we’ll dive into how and why time and space are illusions.
Cosmic Consciousness

The very fabric of the Universe is conscious, and your consciousness is a thread of this universal consciousness with its own focal point of awareness. We are apertures that universe is perceiving and experiencing through.

Mainstream science, with its rigid materialistic view of the universe, believes that consciousness arises from the operation of the brain. The operation of the brain does, in fact, give rise to some LIMITED cognitive and analytical abilities and local memory but our higher consciousness exists in the field, and our brain functions as a receiver.

In fact, consciousness is all the Universe is. Everything is seen and unseen, large and small, are just thought forms inside of the cosmic mind. And because we are threads of this cosmic consciousness, we are creating our reality with our thoughts and beliefs — this is how the universe works, this is what it is, we are part of a great cosmic mind, and all realities are constructs.

The Infinite Information Matrix

The information that represents every aspect of every moment of the past, present, and future all exists simultaneously, eternally, and NOW. And not just all the information for the timeline that we are experiencing, but all possible timelines — literally an infinite matrix containing everything possible, everything imaginable. Of course, this is not apparent from within the space-time construct because we are only seeing and experiencing the part that is needed to create the experience of our reality. You can think of a timeline as the path that our consciousness takes through the information, and hence experiences.

In an unbounded (unconstrained) state of consciousness, the state that our higher-self is in, we can move our point of awareness anywhere in the infinite matrix of information that represents all that is, navigating through it by either the “temporal” dimension or the “spatial” dimension. More about this later in the article when we look at the remote viewing and past life regression.

Our physical reality is a construct that our souls are using as a learning experience. In a certain sense, our whole reality is an illusion, but the experiences it provides are very much real and leaves an indelible mark on the consciousness that is our souls. It serves as a most excellent training system for our souls and drives our soul's spiritual evolution/growth.
The Cosmic Film Projector

From the context of the eternal NOW and the infinite information matrix, a linear experience is created by sequentially stepping your consciousness’s focal point of perception/awareness through the information matrix. This process creates the experience of time and space, motion, evolution, and causality.

It’s like a movie produced by a film projector.

In a film projector, the illusion of motion and time is created when the projector displays the still frames of the film, one frame at a time, in a rapid steady sequence. Yet, ALL the frames exist simultaneously. In fact, the projectionist can take out the film, spread it out on the floor, and view all the frames at the same time.

In a similar manner, our consciousness “projects” individual “still frames of reality” in a steady and extremely rapid sequence, BILLIONS of times per second, creating the ILLUSION of the flow of TIME. Each “frame of reality” contains absolutely NO MOTION whatsoever — it is a perfectly STILL image. And yet, by rapidly sequencing these still frames, we create the illusion motion and time.

Sets of information in the infinite matrix function much like the still frames of the film strip. Our earthly consciousness functions much like the film projector, viewing still frames in a rapid steady sequence. Our higher-self exists in the timeless realm and functions like the film projectionist, who can take out the film and view ALL the frames simultaneously.

“It is you who are moving, not time. Time has no movement. There is only One Moment.” – Bashar
The Illusion of Continuity

Normally, the “reality-frames” that we view in a rapid sequence are related and similar creating the ILLUSION of continuity. Continuity is required to make the game of life a convincing experience. If we experienced obvious discontinuities, we would realize we were players in a game, and that would diminish the effectiveness and purpose of the game of life.

How continuity is enforced is not entirely clear but one explanation is that we simply don’t BELIEVE jumping around time-lines is possible. Because we steadfastly BELIEVE in the idea of time and its continuity, discontinuities don’t normally happen. We EXPECT continuity, so that’s what we get. We are creating all of our reality with our thoughts and beliefs — this is how the universe works, this is what it is, we are part of a great cosmic mind.

But continuity is not an absolute requirement. It is possible to “jump” to a completely different frame in the infinite matrix. Jumping around the timelines would normally be considered “Time Travel”, and this has traditionally been considered impossible. One argument that is often put forward why time travel isn’t possible is the classic “grandfather paradox” that states:

If you time-travel to the time of your grandfather and kill him before he has any children, then your father would not have been born, and then you would not have been born. And if you were never born, you could not go back to kill your grandfather.

Of course, the paradox dissolves when you realize that there are an infinite number of time-lines — all simultaneously co-existing (parallel but distinct paths thru the infinite matrix, or “flows” of events). When you “Time Travel” you are jumping to a DIFFERENT time-line. There is no change whatsoever in your originating time-line. The time-line you switched to may appear to be almost identical to the one you were on, but it is a totally DIFFERENT time-line.
Paranormal Phenomena and the Illusion of Time and Space

The paranormal/psychic phenomena of remote viewing and past life regression shed light onto to the underlying nature of our reality and are consistent with the illusory nature of time and space that I am presenting here.

Remote viewing is the term that the military intelligence community coined as an alternative to other metaphysical terms. Remote viewing is the ability to view any location, no matter how distant, in one’s mind simply by conscious intent. According to the book Limitless Mind: A Guide to Remote Viewing anyone can develop this ability with training.

The ability for the mind to “see” any location in space strongly suggests that consciousness exists outside the brain in the fabric of the universe as many ancient schools of thought believed and that many leading-edge contemporary scientists are starting to understand and prove (check out the book The Immortal Mind: Science and the Continuity of Consciousness beyond the Brain to dive deeper into this subject).

Our conscious awareness is indeed a part of something akin to a universal mind and in its unbounded (unconstrained) state, we can move our point of awareness anywhere in the infinite matrix of information that represents all that is, navigating through it by “spatial” or “temporal” dimensions. In the case of remote viewing, we are accessing our unbounded (universal) mind and moving our focal point of awareness thru the “spatial” dimension the universal information matrix to a specific “spatial” location.

Past life regression is a technique that uses hypnosis to put a subject into a state of consciousness that allows them to access unbounded consciousness of their higher-self to explore, what we traditionally think of as the past and future lives. Our higher-self creates many souls that are aspects of itself and projects them into the lower frequency planes of existence. During past life regression, we are able to access some of our unbounded consciousness and move our point of awareness through the “temporal” dimension of the infinite information matrix along paths and to locations that correspond to segments and points on time-lines that other aspects of our higher-self (other souls) are stepping through (experiencing).

Our higher-self creates many souls and puts them in many life forms, on many worlds, in many different situations to accelerate its spiritual evolution. It is experiencing everything that all its souls are experiencing and growing because of it. It is having a massively parallel experience thru all of its souls! If you want to learn more about reincarnation and past life regression and I recommend the books Journey of Souls and Past Life Regression: Discover Your Hidden Past Life Memories.
The Mechanics of Reality Creation

The reality that we are experiencing is by no means an “objective reality” as most people presume. In fact, it is more like what we would conceive of as a virtual reality, but one with some very interesting rules, some of which I’ve discussed here. Deeply understanding and mastering the laws and mechanics of reality creation will make you a very powerful being who can tailor make your personal reality to whatever you desire. And if we ALL mastered this, and focused our thoughts and intentions on the same vision of a better world, we could drastically alter our collective reality too! And quick!

How does a control mechanism based upon the minority population enact controls over the majority – fill them with fears, insecurities and an inflated sense of importance while pitting them against each other and offering the only viable solutions.

This brings everything down to the personal level so that any conversation (or attempt thereof) is immediately considered as a threat, no matter how logical it may be. There are always the basic projections such as “you just want to be right” or “you just want everyone to think like you” – always an external enemy instead of actually listening to the words and logic which is attempted to be conveyed. Divide and conquer at its basis, for this conversation is about people of same backgrounds and similar experiences which turn on each other at the drop of a hat over simple words, misunderstandings, and fear of having their ignorance called out.

I have always said that a good start to healing the myriad of problems in this world is to understand and enact true communication (ironic for the “communication age”); for this is a skill which has been deliberately programmed out of us. Instead, we are left with a reactionary base which throws around the “how I feel” meme about certain words to the point where if the word itself is not all that important, I will try to invoke, “It’s the way you said it” justification: to kill the messenger instead of hearing the actual message is actually the “norm” today.

I call this the “Arrogance of Ignorance”. In today’s world of “smart” this and “intelligent” that, there exists an inconceivable amount of ego and self-judgment (or rather the fear of being judged by others) and a projection of a wrong doing from others; for if all our possessions are intelligent, where is the room for us? There are a great many more individuals which have achieved a “higher education” these days than that of recent history and with this it has brought about an air of superiority or “entitlement” (and I hate to use that word for that is yet another program) of intelligence, which seems to block all common sense and the ability to learn beyond what is perceived to be “known”. Perhaps this is because the years and resources spent in achieving this higher mark from society are deemed as a point where, “I don’t have to learn anymore”, “look at my paper – I am smart”.

Always having to prove themselves as “better” or at least “knowledgeable” in order to save face, complete with projections based on the fear that they may not be as informed as they believe. This is the perfectly programmed ego with its programmed responses of indignation, fear of losing a competition (albeit in the mind) and a child-like arrogance. They must protect their simple, programmed inadequacies with outward projections towards one which listens and takes in information. Within the last month, I have been told twice by people I have never met that I was “dangerous” because I listen and don’t say much, to which I asked “dangerous to whom?” only to be responded with “to everyone”. Fear of intelligence.

So “ignorance”, in these cases, is an insult instead of simply what the word means (can you figure it out? I’ll give you a hint), ignorance is something that one can build upon, a place where one can learn from. The only thing one proves from their defense or indignation of their ignorance is actually their stupidity. Once one believes they know it all, can one learn? An important question to understand when speaking of this subject. Or perhaps when one believes that every offered opportunity for reflection is an insult, one solidifies their commitment to remaining ignorant.

In my opinion, based upon my observations, the human race has devolved over time and as a whole, humanity is as intelligent as a sack of hammers. Now, how do YOU interpret that? Is that my fault or your own? Should I be held responsible for your interpretations? What did you perceive from that? Are you immediately thinking that I have a hatred for humanity and wish to see them suffer and die? Why would my mere observation be construed as “hatred”? Where does actual thought kick in and not reactive programming? This is what I think about, how mere questions and observations can be so misconstrued and twisted to fit anyone’s defeatist and projectionary impulses (for one must defend one’s self when one “feels” attacked) even if these are merely a programmed reaction in order to keep one from questioning and truly thinking outside the box (how many are doing that right now?)?

Do you ever question yourself when you respond with an “NO!” seemingly automatically (like a child) or when you say something simply to hear yourself talk, even if it has no bearing on the conversation or if it just makes no sense? Do you ask yourself if you have even heard what was being conveyed (or attempted)? Do you ask yourself why such responses come out seemingly beyond your control? Did you give yourself the chance to “learn something new”? I know I don’t do it all the time but I do question my reactions and responses to see if they are indeed programmed.

Are these questions too offensive? Are they too deep? Perhaps I am just too negative; what other justifications and projections can you think of to not even hear what is being conveyed? How far will the ego go to protect its ignorance?

It is very easy to question other’s motives; to project outwardly rather than digging introspectively and having a real, honest look at one’s self; after all, who wants to “look stupid”? In reality, is that not simply a mind game which we play with ourselves? Do we ever wonder WHY we torture ourselves in this way? Why we give so much credence to what others may think about us even when the things we think they think to originate from our own minds? Why give power to others? Should we not keep some for ourselves in order to become stronger and better human beings? Should we not learn in order to perpetuate real human information forward to the next generations in order to evolve?

The year is 2016 and we at war with everything, including ourselves; have we really “advanced” as a “civilization” or “society”? How can we when as a whole we are neither civil nor social?Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-48836387686361837982016-09-05T16:01:00.000-07:002016-09-05T16:01:38.040-07:00Mind Before Matter: How Consciousness is Making a Comeback Through Scientific Exploration

A person’s worldview has always been shaped by their culture and period in history. If we grew up in a tribal setting, we would have a remarkably different perspective then in modern society. Well, that’s what we might assume anyway, but as it turns out there are more similarities then we might think.

Back in the tribal days, most indigenous cultures were embedded in spirituality. They had their own unique myths, stories, and symbols which captured their spiritual conception of reality, however, much of it rested on some very similar ideas that permeate across many of these ancient human societies, as well as some current cultures and disciplines too.

The most notable example is that they understood the material world to be a manifestation of a deeper order, one that is non-physical in nature. They had many words for this, including God, Mind, and Spirit, to name but a few. Humanity then transitioned through different stages of ecology, so this idea might first appear to be disproven by our recent journey utilizing the scientific method. However, as some of you would know, this conception of reality is making a comeback through our rational investigation of the universe.

The field? Why quantum physics of course.

In our secular societies, science has reigned supreme in terms of logically describing the way the world works. Yet anybody who looks beyond the lens of the mainstream consensus will know that ‘scientific materialism’ has been the philosophy that has dominated how emerging evidence is interpreted. In fact, this belief has turned out to be unscientific and unproven, which has increasingly brought the credibility of the scientific establishment into question. Simply, their philosophical bias has been exposed.

Materialism has therefore hardened into dogma, particularly for its epic failure in explaining what consciousness is, where the line between a living and non-living entity is, and the peculiar world of quantum physics. In fact, as I explained in a previous article, there are now many scientists who are calling for an end to this hypocrisy so that we can evolve our scientific models of reality into a post-materialist era which embraces consciousness studies at the core of how we investigate the world we live in:

Not all scientists have fallen victim to the materialist rhetoric. For example, in 2014 “A call for an open, informed study of all aspects of consciousness” was made by around 100 scientists. Another example in the same year was the creation of a “Manifesto for a Post-Materialist Science … to visualize what an emerging scientific view may look like”, which was developed by eight respected scientists, including Rupert Sheldrake. Simply, both groups have called upon the scientific community to face their hypocrisy and transcend their philosophical bias.

What this means is that for the last couple of centuries consciousness was believed to be a manifestation of matter, but that theory is most likely wrong. The new era of science is working with the idea that consciousness is deeply embedded in the fabric of existence. The most infamous example is the double-split experiment, in which a conscious observation collapses wave-like, probabilistic states of a particle into an actual particle of experience. This was originally thought to be reserved for sub-atomic particles, like electrons, which seemed to act like waves or particles depending on whether we’re observing them or not, but more recently molecules have illustrated that they’re a part of this phenomena too.

For a list of experiments which illustrate that mind manifests matter, see here and here.

Another brain-bending possibility that quantum physics explores is that the present moment is actually an amalgamation of the past, present, and future. In essence, both. Instead of there being an ever-present now, there is an ever-past-present- future- now, as evidenced by ‘weak measurements’. To quote the theoretical physicist, Dr. Fred Alan Wolf:

“In my view, all possible futures are in continual contact with each and every present moment, kind of like the way a piece of a hologram (made from the waves reflecting off all points on an object) contains a whole picture”

Yep, it’s a mind-fuck.

The New Path for Science? Embrace the Comeback of Consciousness

An interview with Dr. Fred Alan Wolf (aka Dr. Quantum)

Dr. Fred Alan Wolf is a physicist, writer, and lecturer who earned his Ph.D. in theoretical physics at UCLA in 1963. He continues to write, lecture throughout the world, and conduct research on the relationship of quantum physics to consciousness.

He is the National Book Award Winning author of “Taking the Quantum Leap”, as well as many other books. He has also starred in feature films, such as Dr. Quantum in “What the Bleep Do We Know”

The Verdict?

The philosophy that replaces materialism by honoring the inherent mentality of the universe can be called either idealism or Panpsychism. As stated in Wikipedia: “Panpsychism agrees with idealism that in a sense everything is mental, but whereas idealism treats most things as mental content or ideas, Panpsychism treats them as mind-like, in some sense, and as having their own reality.”

Whatever specific metaphysics speaks to you most, it is undeniable that collectively we need to let consciousness make its destined comeback into humanity’s worldview. This irony shouldn’t be lost on any of us.

The reality is that quantum physics, as well as the (pseudo)science of parapsychology, clearly, show in experimental terms why mind or consciousness needs to be reincorporated into our model of the universe, yet the scientific establishment is still stubborn to do so. Why particular scientists, however, continue to disrespect their responsibility to be objective and unbiased is simple to understand; they’re human, and like every human, we’re highly conditioned into ‘believing’ the societal and professional paradigms that we’re emerged in.

But not all scientists have fallen victim to this hypocrisy. As Rupert Sheldrake has explained in an interview for the Redesigning Society series, many of his colleagues understand the picture that dances beyond the farce of a solely material world, it’s just they don’t admit it publicly in fear of it adversely impacting their careers. Simply, that’s the philosophical and political impacts of a human institution at work.

So there are scientists who don’t just ‘say’ they’re engaged in a genuine search for truth, they ‘are’ doing it. Dr. Wolf is one of them. Let’s finish off with one of his provocative quotes:

“We must conclude that an observer lurks somewhere. I like to think of it as the mind of God or the vacuum state of the universe – as capable of making all the observations needed to keep the universe looking more or less as it does. The fact that we can also observe things and see quantum physics consequences just means that we are sharing God’s mind.”

Please note: This article is part of the Redesigning Society series. Over the past weeks, this series has presented a range of expert perspectives on the current state of societal affairs, as well as the collective changes we desperately need both philosophically and practically.

Humanity now has the resources, the means, and the collective will, for every human being on this planet to live in material security… no-one no longer need struggle to survive. That so many do struggle to survive, whilst so few live in material excess, is insane, and can no longer be accepted.

Such a situation does not reflect our true humanity. From the richest to the poorest, there is no-one who wants others to experience poverty, who wants them to suffer in war-zones, who wants them to endure environmental destruction, who wants others to die from curable diseases.

Certainly, there are those who are willing to benefit from such suffering – the large multi-national corporations, the military-industrial complex, the pharmaceutical industry, and, sadly, our governments, but such behavior is rooted in ignorance and delusion, blinded by consciences that have been quarantined.

We know that 22,000 children die every day because of poverty on a planet of abundance. There are many damning statistics but, really, what else needs to be said? That fact alone should surely be enough to make us deeply reflect upon this situation. Our true situation is so serious, so urgent, and so desperate for so many, that the only reasonable, sane, and acceptable thing to do is to drop everything, and rededicate our lives, our societies, and our resources to fixing this horror once and for all.

I mean that sincerely. We should pause everything that is not necessary, organize our systems so that our basic needs are met, and then – much like with the space race or major war effort – we should direct all our expertise and efforts into ensuring that every single human being on this planet lives in material security. That means appropriate and plentiful food, water, shelter, clothing, medicine, freedom, education, protection, opportunities… everything. Whatever we want and demand for ourselves should be the bare minimum for all.

This is what we all want. Right now in the West we could easily develop systems and societies where everything needed was provided for as standard. If we do not need to work for our food, our shelter, our clothing etc. anymore then why are we? Between the many beautiful minds on this planet we could create incredible economic systems that serve us all, instead of serving the ridiculously tiny minority that our current system does, as well as mind-blowing technologies that will liberate us from our toil and our plight.

This is what we can have. There is no human being who does not want material security. No-one wants to struggle to survive. We all just want to be able to survive with the minimal effort, and if we can provide this for each other – and we really can – then why would we not? I want to be free to explore this amazing life, to be creative, to be of service, to expand my mind, to live adventure after adventure… not to rape my soul in a call center all week just so I can fucking eat. It’s insane.

Material security for all human beings.

A simple, positive, and unifying vision that we can all get behind… that we all need to get behind, and that we must demand of our governments. Would it be difficult to achieve? Yeah, of course, it’s a huge challenge. But is it possible? Yes, it really is. Between seven billion of us there are not going to be too many problems that we cannot overcome.

And, look, what do we have to lose? Most of us aren’t happy. We have subjected ourselves to the most empty, mundane and meaningless lives. There’ll probably be no space for any new iPhones or the golden age of television, but we can get back to all of that when we’ve fed all the starving children etc. etc. Not that I think we would want to. This would be such an incredible adventure. It would spark so much creativity and growth and marvel… every single amazing facet of humanity would be on show, and it would be a joy to behold. It would bring the hardest heart to tears.

All of this is, of course, very naive. But that is the beauty of being naive… it allows you to contemplate what others would never imagine, and in that contemplation the seeds of possibility are sewn. And whilst there will be many who dismiss and ridicule such a vision, there will also be those beautiful, longing souls who will read this and connect with it so profoundly that this seed will take root. They are reading this now with a flickering heart and a mind abuzz. These words are truth – a truth so rarely spoken, and it is alive in your spine. I know you feel it. Inspiration floods your veins and ideas crash in waves over your mind. You will take these few pieces and add your own, and one by one, piece by piece, we will, together, begin to form a beautiful profound picture… and so it will be.

This is the sort of vision and passion that infects. It inspires an enthusiasm that is relentless and contagious. Like all moments of truth, it defines a culture and a time. You don’t need marketing teams to sell such a vision. Truth speaks for itself. Material security for all human beings… no more struggle to survive! Tell me it is not possible, tell me it is not right, and tell me it is not what we all want. This is not just the right thing to do… it is the only thing to do. So urgent and vital is our situation, so pressing a concern is the suffering we allow. This is what we all want, and if we can have it, then nothing and no-one should stop us having it.

Alas, no mighty oak started as a mighty oak, and no mighty oak needed to start as a mighty oak. For now let us dream sweet of food and water and shelter and clothing and medicine and freedom and peace and education and happiness for everyone. It would be a beautiful start.

The spiritual energy healing practice of Reiki is an ancient eastern holistic health tradition that dates back thousands of years. Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan and was brought to the west by Mrs. Hawayo Takata in 1937.

The word Reiki is derived from two Japanese words – Rei, which can best be defined as higher wisdom or universal and Ki, like chi or qi, is a term used to describe our life-force energy. This hands-on form of spiritual healing manipulates our life-force energy. It is believed that the effectiveness of healing with Reiki is directed by a higher spiritual power that sends this powerful life-giving force to the perfect place within us.

The goal of this alternative health modality is to restore balance and harmony between all the parts of our being. Reiki works to create a state of equilibrium in our life-force energy. It raises the vibration in the body and words to heal and clear its energetic pathways. This allows our life-force energy to begin to flow again. The spiritual healing provided by Reiki promotes health and well-being to all of our parts, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
What To Expect During a Reiki Session

In a healing session, the recipient lies down with their eyes closed. The Reiki practitioner utilizing a series of fixed hand positions infuses the body with healing energy. In each hand position, the practitioner channels universal energy through their bodies, out of their hands and into the bodies of their client. The hands are held in each of these positions for several minutes at a time. Many of the hand positions correlate to the energy centers, the chakras that run up the spine. The positions start at the top of the head and progressively work their way down the body.

Having a Reiki healing session is not like getting a massage. Reiki healing is performed on a flat surface such as a massage table, but that is where the similarities end. You do not have to remove your clothes to obtain the benefits of the healing energy of this health modality. The muscles are not rubbed, kneaded, squeezed or pressed. Instead, the hands are placed gently on or held above the body.

Individuals who have received Reiki report a wide range of things. During a session, some report experiencing feelings of warmth, heat or vibration as the practitioner works on them. Others do not sense anything at all. The most common remark expressed by recipients of Reiki is the sense of relaxation, peace and an overall reduction in stress after a session.
Who Can Perform Reiki?

You do not have to be a powerful healer in order to perform this form of spiritual energy healing. Healing during a Reiki session is achieved when universal life-force energy is transferred from the ethers, through the practitioner, and into the recipient.

The clearer and more open the healing practitioner is, the better a vessel they are to channel the healing energy through them. This makes the use of Reiki as a healing technique open to anyone.

Reiki offers methods for both self-healing as well as methods of working one-on-one with a spiritual energy healing practitioner. There are also a number of wonderful books that can guide you to a deeper understanding of the healing power of Reiki, either for self-healing or if you are interested in performing Reiki healings on others.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-67382349773881256532016-08-16T06:47:00.000-07:002016-08-16T06:47:41.016-07:00Spirituality vs. Consumerism

Ritual is important, yet often it is least beneficial to those people who are ritualistically-minded and inclined to habit. The word ‘tradition’ is now applied to many socially embedded religious and ‘spiritual’ practices that have become engrained within our cultures. Yet in many instances it is possible to replace the notion of ‘tradition’ with ‘repetition’. Certain beliefs and practices are passed on through the generations without energy. It can be said to be like the shell of an oyster that has long been bereft of its pearl. Modification or adaptation to circumstances such as the current time and place of operation. This is little more than repetition of a fixed formula that whilst was functioning in its time, is often now without its inner kinetic.

An example of this can be seen in this interchange between a genuine spiritual teachers who went to an Asiatic country to address the issue of repetition. The visitor explained to the incumbent sheik that the practices he was advocating belonged to a time in the past and were limited for a specific, targeted audience. Since such conditions no longer existed, what remained was merely an outer core – a spectacle. The old Sheikh, who was the head of the order, replied that ‘in a world where there is no light at all, even a false gleam is perhaps something to have’, and that ‘I have been here so long, and so have my ancestors, that we cannot change.’ The old sheikh continued with his refusal by further adding that ‘we may well be wanted, and believed to be the possessors of secrets…we are here, after seven hundred years, not because of our value or viciousness, but because people want us. They want magic…many can follow a harmless path and feel better, elevated. That, in any case, is what they imagine spirituality to be.’*

However, imagining what ‘spirituality to be’ is like, is similar to imagining that the air we breathe is one substance. Yet this is not so, for if we have knowledge of the correct composition of a substance we find that it is composed of many elements in specific alignment and concentration. To focus on only a part of the substance and to gain nutrition from this, such as from ritual or selected practices only, is not only inefficient yet potentially harmful. Using this analogy for the air we breathe, we know from science that air is composed of 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen, and 1% of other gases including argon and carbon dioxide. Yet if a person decided to select the nitrogen component only, and to concentrate their ‘ritual’ breathing on this part alone they would not find themselves breathing at all after very long.

Spiritual practices in the modern world are rife with repetition; mainly because repetition reinforces mental, emotional, and physical conditioning and patterns of behavior. Further, repetition in such ‘spiritual practices’ often involve the carrying on of selected elements; that is, those elements which it has been decided upon will be most useful to pass on and highlight. In such cases, we need to ask – on whose authority? If one has a headache we may take an aspirin, yet to repeat this a hundred times will have a different effect than making the headache go away…we may lose much more!

Repetition in the science of inner transformation can be damaging if it is not in correct proportion to the whole. Yet each of us has a capacity to recognize that which is genuine; only that often it is clouded beneath an array of acquired traits such as laziness, greed, etc. One way to cut through this is to be sincere with oneself – to ask oneself directly if what you are doing is truly providing the nourishment and development required. If there is a need for self-justification we might ask ourselves why?

Just as in recent years the credit bubble placed many people into a false sense of security by offering the possibility to obtain untold goodies, so too does the promise of repetitious and ritualistic forms of spirituality. Many were duped into ‘repetitious consumerism’ because of the offering of cheap credit (‘false gold’). Likewise, many people are also attracted to the window-displays of attractive practices of inner transformation. Quotations and phrases are consumed and put on display; deeds are admired and miracles invoked. Even the extremes are commercialized: ritual suffering; automatic obedience; reward and punishment, etc. Yet all are low-level emotional stimulus. As one contemporary teacher commented: ‘The would-be learner, instead of realizing that there is an objective, becomes a bemused consumer of wonders and stimuli’. Such offerings may be ‘consumable’, yet are they part of a disciplined science that forms a unified, complete teaching of aligned development in recognition of specific contexts? As the saying goes – ‘False gold exists only because real gold exists’.

The inner evolutionary imperative is not a shopping list, or the random acquisition of abilities, nor the gaining of emotional satisfaction. It is a genuine inner need that, if acted upon sincerely and with genuine intention, can be of immense benefit to the individual and to the planet.

The cell precisely divides itself and maintains a divine balance with every reproduction thereafter. A few moments pass, and suddenly it takes on a fractal pattern with a sacred geometry that intimately creates, expands, and unites all life.

We are all the sum of this poetic, synchronized equation and still we insist on identifying with synthetic differences that keep us separate: man vs. nature; male vs. female; love vs. hate; race vs. race; class vs. class; creed vs. creed. But beyond these illusive divisions, there is a tapestry where you and I are fibers of the same thread.

For the mad few who resolve to solve Gaia’s riddle, she reveals how music and rhythm and magic all dance the wanting soul into a dimension beyond superficial dualities right into the infinitude of oneness. These brave hearts discover that the key to unlocking peace is to revere the feminine yin principle of all life–yours, mine, the trees, the ocean, the butterflies…

The senseless, unbridled, and violent masculine aggression that has made a spectacle of raping, ravaging, and ruining her grace has no ticket to eternity. Please, return her shoes. Return her garments. Return her innocence. It is not too late to resurrect her, no matter what those who justify their unconscionable behavior may tell you.

The butterfly arrives at her destination despite her disadvantaged design and against all manner of insurmountable odds. It is only when her yin and yang wings agree to make the journey together that she succeeds. You are the wings. You are the riddle. You are the answer.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-77211567620838942882016-08-02T09:14:00.000-07:002016-08-02T09:14:55.984-07:00How to Tap Into the Healing Abilities of Your Chakras

The human energetic body also referred to as the pranic sheath or astral body, is an intricate network of 72,000 nadis that facilitate the movement of prana, the vital energy of the human body. The nadis also referred to as astral tubes, astral nerves or meridians, come together in seven energy centers called the chakras which are located along the central canal, the Sushumna, which corresponds to the spine in the physical body. Understanding each energy center and having the ability to heal them can help you consciously control your physical body and hence aide physical and emotional well-being and assist in higher spiritual pursuits.

Tapping into the healing abilities of your chakras can be achieved through various means, such as changing your lifestyle and diet, establishing a meditation practice, taking time for personal exploration, and integrating physical practices such as yoga into your daily life.
Feelings derive from our heart space and have a greater power than our thoughts. We need to focus on our emotional world just as much, if not more than our mental world. Emotions are the means to manifest desires. Thus purity of heart should be considered a necessity. One cannot live long with a tainted heart and the longer we allow psychic garbage to collect within our heart space the more our emotional, spiritual, physical and mental bodies will suffer. A tainted heart is something that all should strive to avoid because it is the smearing of your true self.

“As rust is natural to iron and as milk turns sour, so the feeling of the heart which by nature is as pure as milk, turns when it becomes rusted.” – Hazrat Inayat Khan

The transformation of the natural to the unnatural is a process that takes time. Slowly the innocence fades into nothingness as our heart goes sour. This is imperative to understand because it reveals to us all that this process of souring occurs over a duration of time. We can see that our innocence is intact at the beginning of life, but as we grow older and live a life many of us start to rust, thus our spiritual heart suffers greatly. Once this happens it is very difficult to turn things around, to restore oneself.

The way to cleanse our heart is to submerge it in the stream of love. A continuous inflowing of love will help heal our heart. This means we have to be willing to receive this love because that’s the problem many of us face. It’s not that love isn’t sent in our direction, but instead, it’s our inability to absorb this love that keeps us in a lack of it. Love is constantly flowing from the Creator to us, but because of our free-will and ignorance many of us cannot take in this love. We’ve hardened our heart with so much fear that it’s a very difficult task for love to penetrate.

Allowing love to enter one’s being is much easier than what we believe it to be. It can be simply described as being present in the Eternal Now. The Eternal Now is where you reside at all times, it is beyond the concept of time/space, thus it is the aspect of your being that exists in another realm of existence. This is where your higher self-resides and this facet of your being has the capacity to give you all the love you need. How do you become present in the Eternal Now you may be wondering, three words sum it up quite well; Love, Acceptance, and Joy. By accepting yourself and life you allow love to flow, by loving yourself and others, you allow love to flow, by being joyful to yourself and others, you allow love to flow. These three traits are invaluable when beginning the journey to self-empowerment.

“For it is the good quality of heart that will keep away undesirable impressions and thoughts, so that the heart will only reflect good impressions and desirable influences.” – Hazrat Inayat Khan

Only by nurturing the good qualities within ourselves will we be able to prevent the rust from settling within and around our heart. Good qualities are pretty self-explanatory, anything that makes you feel good and wholesome. Such as love, compassion, acceptance, joyfulness, and forgiveness. These qualities allow love to be channeled into every fiber of our being. This divine love will enrich our aura and allow healing to take place on the many subtle levels of being. The practice of mantras can assist in this endeavor and one mantra that Hazrat shares is the following:

“My thoughtful self! Reproach no one, hold a grudge against no one, bear malice against no one; be wise, tolerant, considerate, polite, and kind to all.” – Hazrat Inayat Khan

The need to remove and erase every undesirable impression is paramount in cleansing one’s heart. That means we need to be brave enough to explore aspects of our being that have been neglected for a great many years. We cannot think that we can just be positive and that will suffice, one must dive deep within their own consciousness and locate the darkness and negative impressions we’ve allowed to fester in our ignorance and lack of awareness.
READ: The 3 Lies That Block The Flow of Love

When one begins to locate their own various character flaws and fears, we are provided with an opportunity to transform them into assets (Divine Love). Only by becoming aware of these negative impressions can this be done. Thus one should take the time to think about his/her state of being, mental processes, and unconscious aspects whenever possible. Many of us are stuck in reactionary mode, we don’t quite understand why we do what we do or feel what we feel. Much of this has been programmed into our unconscious and subconscious minds without much awareness on our end. We pick up most of these learned behaviors from our parents, TV, school, media, internet, etc….

A perfect example of a programmed response is something along these lines. Let’s say you’re having a discussion with someone about UFOs and extraterrestrials, you start to make a claim and the individual whom your speaking to reacts very hostile and skeptical. They’ve been programmed with stereotypes that tell them that UFOs and extraterrestrials are absurd. This is a perfect example, because even though the person hasn’t done the research himself/herself they still react negatively. I’ve encountered this many times since my awakening and most of the time when I try to express to them the need to discover the truth themselves, they still dismiss it and choose ignorance. This is a reactionary behavior, we’ve been bombarded with so much fear that we perceive our reality through the modality of negativity. Thus everything is misconstrued to satisfy this bleak outlook we’ve incorporated into our belief system.

Many would rather be deceived rather than know the truth because they’re afraid of the prospect of being lied to. We have this fear of being wrong as if it invalidates who we are. We don’t want to believe that things could possibly be that bad, that our government would lie to us, that people would kill to get what they want, and corporations would suppress technology that would benefit mankind. This is reinforced by our fear of change as well, the prospect of many UFOs, extraterrestrials, free energy theories being correct would change the world. They subconsciously resist it because of the fact they’ve invested so much into this false paradigm.

That is the type of behavior we must become aware of within ourselves, we need to dive deep into these beliefs and discover the root cause. Upon exploration of my inner-world, I discovered that I was skeptical of a great many things because of fear. Fear is the reason many people choose ignorance, because as the saying goes, “Ignorance is bliss” and it’s easier for many to deny something than to confront it. We’ve been conditioned to resist change, especially if it differs from our reality in such a dramatic display. When I discovered this within myself, it suddenly opened the doors to my real self and I’ve learned a great deal since then. This can only be achieved if you have the willingness to explore oneself.

Hazrat emphasizes the need of developing innocence. Not innocence in the sense of avoiding being at fault, but instead, innocence in the sense that your desire is to be your real self. Our innocence is reproached upon when we give into the ideas of our synthetic self. The synthetic self-identifies with things of this world, constantly attempting to build its kingdom upon quicksand. As you all will no doubt learn over time, any attachment to this world will not satisfy one’s soul. This world is based upon the principle of impermanence, all shall return to the earth. Our bodies will decompose, our money will turn to dust and our thoughts will become psychic dust.

Innocence is a state of being that embraces the constants in life. When one firmly plants their feet on the immutable constants, innocence will increase. Loving, listening, accepting, appreciating and assisting others is the pathway to innocence, these are the constants that will assist thee. Bear no homage to the ways of cleverness, for they seek nothing but a worldly knowledge that can benefit oneself. To be clever is to identify with one’s own mortality. Cleverness is a trait that is fleeting and temporal, eventually, it shall fade back into the black or you will encounter someone who is more clever than yourself. Time diminishes cleverness, with age does one’s intelligence and cleverness start to wane. Thus it is a self-defeating delusion of attempting to gain significance within the temporal plane of existence.

“The innocent are oftener blessed by Providence than the worldly-wise who are always trying to get the best of everyone and to seize every opportunity that may seem in any way advantageous.” – Hazrat Inayat Khan

He who develops innocence is truly capable of removing the fear from the lives of others. Only they are able to bridge the gap between fear and love for their fellow brothers and sisters. They who are innocent within the heart are the shepherds that shall lead humanity once again to freedom. The clever and worldly-wise cannot do so, because they operate upon this plane of existence, while they who are innocent dwell within the consciousness of the divine. Only through the innocent shall the lost be found, only through the heart shall we be freed from the chains of fear.

“Purity of heart is the only condition that allows the inner stream to rise. The pure-hearted see more deeply, though they say little.” – Hazrat Inayat Khan

Through innocence, we rise through the different octaves of our being. Slowly ascertaining to who we are, why am we’re alive and what is the purpose of life.By purifying our hearts we get closer to these inner truths. Within us lies the answers to all our questions. Purification of the heart and development of innocence allows these answers to come into our awareness. This is the journey all must eventually embark upon in order to return to the source. Unavoidable this is, because in the end; we’re all One.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-45687303942778623502016-07-19T09:16:00.000-07:002016-07-19T09:16:58.852-07:00The De-Conditioning of the Ego

What could a person possibly gain from insecurity? What could be the reward of feeling undeserving? Why would we harbor low self-esteem? Why do we think against ourselves? These states are not natural to our essence or inner being, so why… where did the urge to give away our power come from?

I grew up in the American Northeast, in a place where people worked very hard for not a lot of reward. And yet, I can’t remember a single instance of a farmer or my middle-class family saying ‘I deserve’ a better life. Everyone I knew behaved as if self-denial was humble and spiritual and a sign of goodness, and ‘I deserve’ was presumptuous and greedy.

It’s the ego that makes these comparisons. Ego identity comes with the situation we’re born into, formed by interacting with who and what is in our world, and by what works for us as we go out into our world. It’s the character we think we are, the separate I and me, as we deal with others.

This is just a guess, but I’m thinking the inferior ego of my early upbringing could be a very old pattern, related to the class system. These farming and middle-class families are descendants of European immigrants, pioneers to the Midwest. They brought their cultures, Christian religion, and languages with them, as well as their ideas about who they are, collectively.

Their story: “We are from peasants and fishermen. We believe that it is virtuous to ask for nothing and that nothing is deserved. Everything must be earned by dedicated hard work, belief in God, cooperation with authority, and acceptance of the hard realities of life. If we live right, the reward will come, if not here, then after death.”

This is definitely a ‘system approved’ mindset, and it even sounds kind of high-minded, doesn’t it?

That’s the cultural womb in which I developed. When I left my small town of Boiling Springs, Pa, I had nothing to go on but my flawed goodness, self-critical inner voice, and insecurity. It’s such a relief to look back on situations and choices, realizing that ‘inferiority’ was the set-up. This is deep conditioning, and as I look at it now, it explains a lot about how and why (I) we suffer.

There are many avenues to inferior ego, and class is just one. It’s amazing when you think about it… the incoming messages telling us how, for this reason, or that reason, we are flawed in comparison to others. Of course, if the messages are trans-generational they not only hit home, they’re firmly established as normal and natural. We develop thought patterns and emotions around them, and ways of coping.

Ego is concerned with ‘something for me’, so the ways of coping would grant the ego ‘something’. What is there to gain from doubting oneself? Avoidance of confrontation – that’s a biggie. Then we have hidden pride in one’s humbleness and sacrifice. Fitting the description of what God wants is another. There’s also the opportunity to endlessly think about ourselves because there is so much to fix.

If you’re into New Age, you may decide that by sufficiently putting yourself down it means you’ve gotten rid of the ego. At this point, the flipside can show up and you become ‘superior’ at manifesting the soul. Badness is gone, goodness here, I am nothing… let me become a teacher. Hopefully, if that happens, the dishonesty in it will be felt, and you’ll look for the exit, pronto.

Obviously, ego is not going to get rid of the ego… which is a fruitless effort in itself. We can’t rid ourselves of the ego, nor should we try. We can see its doings, notice what it’s saying, feel it when it fires up the emotions, sit it back down, and make sure our decisions come from the heart. Ego has a place, just not as the driver. It’s a great relief, that day when you notice the ego’s not significant enough to get in the way anymore. The heart is being called in to make decisions.

It took a long time for me to see how I had embraced inferiority and that I was conditioned to give my power away. Thankfully, painful experiences throughout my life sent me in the direction of self-knowledge and expansion of consciousness. Into my world came great books, teachers, healers and wise friends, and the thought… I deserve to be ‘not this miserable’. That was the beginning.

By the way, we can tell the difference between when the ego says ‘I deserve’ and when the heart says ‘I deserve’. I think realizing this is key. Relating it to myself, fear that I’d be deemed a bad person, or that my choices would be self-serving and harmful to others, kept me in insecurity for quite a while. I wonder how many of us have experienced this. I suspect quite a few.

We don’t need to apologize for having an ego, and for its identity being formed by the conditioning we experienced. That’s part of life on earth. We live and grow, and uncover our connection to Source experience by experience. By the time we begin to make heart-based decisions, the conditioning will have much less effect, and the ego will be diminished and diminishing. It’s a beautiful thing when we can see the way to our true selves… that full, all-inclusive, ‘divinity within’ human being.

I wouldn’t bring this up and share it if it hadn’t been vital to my own expansion of consciousness and possibly helpful to you: loving ourselves is step one on the heart-centered path. Because of my terrible early childhood abuse, “I deserve to be loved,” was an incredibly difficult statement for me to contemplate, and it took the following words to open the door: “And so I will begin by giving myself the love I deserve.” It's taken almost a whole lifetime for me to come to this conclusion.

Give yourself the love you deserve, give yourself the respect you deserve, give yourself the health, the appreciation, the kindness, the honor, the liberation from conditioning that you deserve. You are not ‘less than’ or unworthy. If there is a voice in your head that argues about your worthiness, know that it is the ego, and this opinion you can safely let go.

Heart-based decisions will never do harm. The heart is not the seat of sentimentality… it is the seat of courage and devotion to that which is sacred in us and in life. The intention of the heart is aligned with the highest good, which is love, and the highest good for ourselves translates into the highest good for all, including those close to us. This is your power: take it back.

In the heart, we live for ourselves, not against. In so doing we can’t help but live for the world, intending and creating the world of beauty that we deserve.

In any attempt to save the world we are in one sense an immense help in changing the world, and in another sense, paradoxically, we are a hindrance and destructive burden upon the world. The world which most people seek is invariably based upon their own sense of pleasure with the exclusion of pain. The socially accepted freedom that we value and associate with liberation, the one that drives most us to change the world, is a separatist effort to impose our own individual agenda upon others and the world. German psychologist Erich Fromm would suggest that this is “freedom from” or “freedom to”, but not real freedom because it is based on the differing points of view that each and every one of us believes to be physical and psychological comfortability.

This social and cultural motif that humanity perpetuates is only one dimensional for the sheer fact that we have excluded the reality of pain from our existence. We are suffering from an illness within the psychological and spiritual sphere as a result. An individual will do anything no matter how absurd to avoid their latent psychological and spiritual pain. We dissect and edit out of our life what is not in accord with our hypnotic conditioning, as we continue to try and bypass the inevitables in our life. Pain is experienced when we begin to break our psychological limitations. The very nature of our perception is contaminated as a result of spiritually bypassing our psychological pain, to the point that the root of our awareness is continually veiled from the excessive stimulation of pleasure within the physical and mental planes of consciousness.

The arcane wisdom of the sages expounds to humanity that consciousness is composed of three planes of growth which is an evolutionary process our perception undergoes through sincere self-work. The wisdom traditions, the esoteric mystery schools of antiquity, the perennial philosophers both ancient and contemporary, and the metaphysicians all refer to these three planes as the physical, mental and spiritual. Majority of humanity only perceive the temporal plane of the physical world, and are somehow under the delusion that this sphere is a permanent realm without ever undergoing vibratory and rhythmic transformations of change from the spiritual sphere. In John Holman’s The Return of the Perennial Philosophy he writes about this evolutionary process of perception through the three planes in relation to Christian Theosophy,

There are actually three births. The first is the natural or ‘outward’ birth, the second is the birth of the soul in the human consciousness, and the third is the birth of the spirit or the highest divinity in the soul. In Christian Theosophy man – every man – is body, soul, and spirit, and the three births relate to each of these. At the end of the road, man sees through his highest spiritual eye. This ‘eye in the heart’ (a phrase also popular with Frithjof Schuon) was/is the eye ‘with which God sees himself through us’, says Versluis. The Fall of Man (or Adam) is a moving away from this higher (Aevertinal) consciousness to a lower (Character or earthly man) consciousness, so that instead of seeing transcendent reality, we see only the temporophysical world.

The sincere spiritual seeker and esoteric student travel through these three planes of growth, where one’s perception begins to evolve from the physical and mental planes of material and intellectual orientated consciousness, onto the higher plane of spiritual consciousness. If one is sincere in their own introspected self-work, our perception of reality will embark upon a journey from matter to spirit where consciousness is perceived in all forms of life. British author and philosopher Philip Sherrard explains this journey from matter to spirit,

I see the universe as a hierarchy of levels descending from the formless spiritual level down to the most dense material form.

In Sanskrit the liberation of perception is known as moksha, and in The Science and Practice of Humility this is known as the “evolution of perception” where I thoroughly explore the philosophical, psychological, metaphysical, and spiritual knowledge behind this evolved perception and its relation to the three planes of consciousness.

The spiritual plane of consciousness is a level of perception so reflective and transparent that one who dwells in this enlightened state can perceive eternity in the manifest and understand that matter and spirit could not be separate. The Taoist sage Chuang Tzu said,

When there is no more separation between “this” and “that,” it is called the still-point of the Tao. At the still-point in the center of the circle one can see the infinite in all things.

Residing in that unpolluted state of consciousness, the spiritual plane, Chuang Tzu could perceive the infinite irreducible essence of the universe, known in Chinese as Tao and Sanskrit as Brahman, in all forms of nature. This is a way of perception so subtle that one can perceive the formless reality within the world of form. This level of perception that Chuang Tzu attained cleared his mind and vision of what he once thought was a concrete reality built on separation and chaos. In this purification of one’s mind and awareness, an evolution of perception takes place naturally that leads one to the ultimate “sense of unity” revealed within. This evolved perception and sense of unity should not be misconstrued with the informational awareness one attains from alternative research of conspiracy theories or new-age misconceptions of oneness. The awareness and oneness that a sage imbibes is in the authentic wisdom of a sense of unity within consciousness that an individual has latent within and can experience as it is our original nature. The result of this mystical experience is a pure state of awareness not attracted or caught in the apparent drama of life.

As a result of being lost in our daily dramas and general semantics of life, the most misunderstood and peculiar state of consciousness in this world remains that of a sage. In general, people often think a sage’s life is useless and de-humanist because a sage is not at all concerned with the issues of the world in the same way that most people are. The thinking in the western developed world, which is the primary way of thinking all over the world, is that the moral and noble individual is built upon the agendas we uphold according to our indoctrinated belief systems. This indoctrination leads to a righteousness and benevolence that, in the eyes of the general public, is thought to be virtuous and beneficial to humanity. To act in this manner is what most people believe “being human” is about. The more we are actively engaged in life, the better we are for life is the social and cultural meme.

Yet, as a sage would point out, this perspective is fundamentally flawed because the way in which we are trying to change the world is based on our own personal conditioning that in the end is a separatist view of life. How can we ever heal our differences as a species through our separatist notions and agendas?

In realizing this predicament, a sage seeks to uproot all of their own personal agendas in the hope to reach a place within of complete equanimity. When we are not distracted by our conditional responses to the external world, our attention begins to look inward bringing the agendas that we believe to be intrinsic to our nature to the light of consciousness. The realization one has in this process is that it is the completely “agenda-less Being” who is free in this life. And in this complete freedom they are the only one who can deal with any issue, no matter how large or small, because their perception is not caught in the detail of worldly affairs. This elevated perception is what distinguishes an authentic sage from the common state of perception in the world.

In my new book The Science and Practice of Humility, this elevated state of perception is a central theme because it links evolution to the enlightenment of the individual when explored deeply. To equate our perception to evolution is foreign knowledge to those who are distracted by the gravitational pull of the external world. But for those who are in sincere introspection this is an experience of reality that is reflective and transparent.

The origins of the knowledge of evolution are in the way we perceive the world. In Hermeticism, Hinduism, and other occult traditions, they all explain this through the relationship between the expansion and contraction of consciousness, as its function corresponds to the in and out action of breathing but in relation to the sense of perception. Hinduism refers to this as the “breath of Brahma.” This is in direct correlation with the Hermetic doctrine that explains this using the terms “involution” and “evolution.” Meaning, involution is the contracted state of perception that is “involved” in the detail of life and worldly affairs, and diametrically opposed to this is evolution which is the expanded state of perception that is a way out of the gravitational pull and distraction of involution. For example, when we observe an ant colony, we discover from our elevated level of perception a civilization and system of ants that are harmonious and intrinsic to Earth. But a paradox exists here, because even though from our level we perceive harmony, from the ant’s perspective life is chaotic. In Chip Hartranft’s commentary of The Yoga-Sutras of Patanjali he articulates this evolution of perception beautifully,

As the senses spontaneously cease to react to external stimuli, a phenomenon Patanjali callspratyahara, consciousness begins to grow calmer and more refined in its perceptions, and capable of noticing the ordinarily invisible movements of consciousness itself. The experience is something like viewing a realistic image in a painting at the far end of a gallery. As one comes closer, the brushstrokes and the texture of the canvas become visible – eventually to the point where the image has completely deconstructed and can no longer be seen unless one elects to step back.

When we look into the nature of all life on this planet and the universe this understanding of harmony in correspondence to chaos can be applied to anything, even the human race.

When we observe humanity, we discover that on one level of existence there is war and discord, and yet from a higher level of perception life is actually healthy and harmonious. An example of this is a city. For those who live in the city, life is busy and fast paced, and one’s mind is caught in the detail of social and cultural life, and as a result they impose their Will upon others by perpetuating their own personal agendas. Though this may be life on the level within a city, if we are to hover above a city we discover that from a different level of magnification a city is in perfect harmony and moving in a rhythm that replicates a biological organism. It really depends on how you look at it.

We discover this rhythm in all levels of life, from the subatomic vibrations of electrons, to the movement and orbits of galaxies in the vast eternal expanse of space. In every facet of life there is an order to the apparent chaos, the only problem is most of us are not witness to the order that gives chaos its latent harmony. Our agendas based on our conditioning bind us to worldly affairs in the external world, rather than sincere introspection within. Human perception is primarily focused on the physical and mental planes of consciousness, which are those levels of perception we use to focus on the detail of reality. But both of these planes are only an extension from the spiritual sphere. When we focus a microscope on the cellular world we perceive chaos with seemingly no pattern, but when we retract our attention we discover a human organism in a complete harmonious order and pattern. The physical and mental plane equate to the chaotic perception of the cellular world, while the higher perception of those cells making up a part of a harmonious human body is the elevated perception of the spiritual plane of consciousness.

We all know this to be true because when we are lost in the detail of life and the stories within our mind, we lose sight of our center and the perception of reality as it “is,” not as “we” think it should be. Peace in this world, both individually and collectively, will never be a reality if we continually impose our Will over others, no matter how subtle or gross our agenda is. If our conditioning is not exposed, we cannot complain about how the world is or our plight in life.

The answer to this riddle is in perceiving reality as it “is” and not in how we want it to be according to what we perceive as a pleasurable experience. The answer is not in attempting to change the world to suit yourself, but instead, it is in liberating your mind from the hypnosis of the detail that magnetically attracts and draws your perception out of the center of the spiritual plane. A sage dwells on this plane, as they have refined their awareness into the oceanic consciousness of the spiritual plane, where their perception is not attracted to the drama of conditioned beliefs. Thus they perceive the pattern of reality that unites us all. This perception not only evolves the individual, but also the collective, because the individual is the seed of the collective. If our perception is not caught in the detail, how could any conflict or violence eventuate? Both conflict and violence would be impossible because all modes of division, whether that is religious, nationalistic, race, sex, and other subtle forms of separation, have dissolved into a mind of no deliberation through an evolved perception. This proves the temporal nature of such belief systems.

The virtues of compassion and forgiveness arise naturally in one whose perception has evolved, as they have ceased taking any part in life’s so called “game” that cannot and will not ever be won. If we are to seriously contemplate upon this, how could we ever seek to change the world without ever understanding where the world comes from?

The world comes from the individual; everything the world “is” comes from the mind of the individual. To change the way of the collective world is an abstraction, as the world is a multitude of individuals. So if we are seeking to change the world, all you need to do is be sincere in changing yourself and then the world has changed. This real change, though, cannot be understood clearly if we are ignoring any aspect of ourselves, either physically, mentally or spiritually. We need to be sincere in liberation through self-work, because if we are just trying to dwell on the spiritual plane without working on the physical and mental planes, then this is a form of ignorance, which is discussed at length within The Science and Practice of Humility.

Misconceptions are generated by the status quo in how a sage’s consciousness is perceived. The empty flowery interpretations of new-age teachers, who invariably only push positivity (masculine/yang/active/heaven) without acknowledging the negative (feminine/yin/receptive/earth) aspect of the psyche, and the herd-like imitation of followers, have not helped the matter.

As a result of such deep-seeded monarchical perspectives of the universe, either consciously or unconsciously, most people view a sage’s way of perceiving as blank or devoid of emotion that is above all life. This comes from a lack of understanding and depth which is usually from the average individual who knows nothing about sincere self-work or by one whose spirituality has become narrow and rigid. A sage’s evolution of perception, on the other hand, is analogous to the space of the universe, meaning it is not simply blank, empty nothingness. But instead, space contains the whole universe which is that sense of unity most have never come in contact with.

The sage’s softened glare, refined consciousness and evolved perception, allows them to be receptive to life in authentic humility, rather than meeting the world head on with resistance and force. This receptivity, which humanity has forgotten, is an openness so radical that change begins to take place without the intention to do so. Receptivity is the feminine principle of nature that we have all suppressed because we are under the hypnosis from our intellectual world that this is weakness to show such openness to life. But if we can see clearly in this moment, what has projecting our conditioning upon the world achieved other than the perpetual destruction and suffering of the planet and human race? To assume that being receptive is weak is to ignore the obvious power of humility.

When we observe the most receptive aspect of nature, water, we discover that though it may be perceived as weak, it is in fact the most powerful aspect of nature because of its receptive quality. Water is the lowest lying force of nature replicating the human quality of humility, and yet water’s humble nature has the power within it to end civilization as we know it. This analogy does not mean that humility is a tyrannical power used to take over the world through control; on the contrary, this power that one acquires in revealing the “science of humility” is a state of receptivity that transforms the world from the foundation of life up onto the superficial layer of form. Bringing authentic humility into our consciousness depends on how we perceive the world both within and without, and is actually a bridge between both worlds. Our level of magnification holds the key to individual liberation in this life, as to see reality as it actually “is,” frees us from the limitations within our mind so we can finally perceive the one underlying reality moving through the many in its infinite uniqueness. Perceiving reality from the spiritual plane allows for the science of humility to emanate its light into the world.

The Science and Practice of Humility is a book that explores the spiritual, scientific, esoteric, philosophical, psychological, and metaphysical principles and wisdom of the universe. But first and foremost, it emphasizes that if we want authentic freedom then we need to be sincere in all facets of our life and truly understand that we do belong to this world. Real freedom, both individually and collectively, depends on how you see the world and how willing you are to experience that essence within you that is of the eternal realm (known as the connection between Atman and Brahman in Sanskrit) which cannot be given a name as it is the nameless within you. Evolution rests upon that nameless experience of enlightenment that can only become a reality through the perception you attain from sincere introspection and self-work.

Independence, liberty, freedom. Ideas worth celebrating, for sure, only intangible constructs of the human mind, therefore, their meanings can change along with the times. And since people are extremely adaptable creatures, we rapidly normalize to ever-evolving societal and cultural conditions and values. What people consider being ‘freedom’ today, is nothing similar to what it was even a couple of generations ago.

Here are 4 celebrated, historic liberties that people have long enjoyed, yet are undergoing a dramatic metamorphosis in an evolving world.
1. ) The Freedom to Travel

The idea that human beings should be free to roam the earth without permission or threat is now dated. Prior to the 1930’s you needn’t a driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle or carriage in America. Traveling without a passport used to be commonplace as well.

Now, even recreational drivers are required to be commercially licensed, and in addition to a complex system of fees, fines, high-speed chases, and beat-downs, we are now watching the normalization of domestic checkpoints manned by armed and dangerous government employee.

“Sobriety checkpoints — also known as DUI checkpoints — are the most common roadblocks you might encounter. They function as a general purpose investigatory tactic where police can get a close look at passing motorists by detaining them briefly. A roadblock stop is quick, but it gives police a chance to check tags and licenses, while also giving officers a quick whiff of the driver’s breath and a chance to peer into the vehicle for a moment.” [Source]
2.) The Right to be Self-Sustaining

Living off the grid is the ultimate example of personal responsibility, but as the government needs dependents in order to be relevant, the type of rugged, ingenious mind that once made America remarkable is being stamped out in a fog of rules, regulations, permits, codes and trade agreements. For those interested in cultivating true independence by homesteading or setting up a little off grid outpost somewhere, it is increasingly difficult and expensive to comply with the state.
“Look, if I want to build a yurt of rabbit skins and go to the bathroom in a compost pile, why is it any of the government’s business? Bureaucrats bend over backward to accredit, tax credit, and offer money to people wanting to build pig city-factories or bigger airports. But let a guy go to his woods, cut down some trees, and build himself a home, and a plethora of regulatory tyrants descend on the project to complicate, obfuscate, irritate, frustrate, and virtually terminate. I think it’s time to eradicate some of these laws and the piranhas who administer them.” – Joel Salatin

In some areas, people’s veggie gardens are being ripped up by over-zealous code enforcers, senior citizens are being fined thousands of dollars for not cutting their grass on time, individual rainwater collection is being prosecuted, and police are being called in to enforce mandatory connection to public utilities.
3.) Freedom of Speech

Supposedly one of the greatest rights bestowed upon Americans by the constitution, increasingly, the right to speak your mind is under duress, by the government, corporate policy makers, and a changing social climate. Sure, since the ’80’s we’ve been trained to accept Free Speech Zones, where protestors could be shuffled out of sight and out of mind. Now, though, we’re entering an era of extreme political correctness and unabashed irrationality. People are increasingly unwilling to listen to what others have to say, and intolerance is being normalized under a cloak of phony diversity.

“Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought?” – Orwell’s 1984

The way we communicate is rapidly changing, and corporations now have incredible power to shape our thoughts, as sites like Facebook have demonstrated. Our language can be molded and transformed by company policy, as forum rules and formats can change in accordance with investor motives. We no longer own our words or our conversations.

Here’s an example of the kind of behavior that is now acceptable when some are in the presence of ideas they are unwilling to tolerate:

https://youtu.be/BY1H1rZL53I

4.) The Right to Choose Your Own Medicine

Human beings have always had a symbiotic relationship with food and with plants, and medicine was always something taken directly from nature and combined with human intuition, wisdom and the intention to heal. The disruption of the balance between humans and nature, as initiated by consumer culture and corporate medicine, has taken a fundamental human right and is turning it into a privilege.
READ: Americans Argue Over Puppets While Global Masters Meet in Secrecy

The corporate overthrow of the concept of medicine, mass fear-hyping, and the war on drugs are devastating to personal sovereignty. Mandatory vaccines, public water fluoridation, and the prohibition of plant medicines such as cannabis, ayahuasca, and iboga, add up to a severely restricted perception of health and wellness, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

If you alone do not own your body, then who owns your body?

War on consciousness. They completely destroy the matrix of cultural programming, clearing space within the psyche for something new and positive to emerge.” – Dylan Charles
Final Thoughts

Due to the inherent violence required to maintain the social-political order we have now, along with mass indoctrination of the public with extreme statist and corporatist ideologies, it is practically impossible for most people to imagine a world governed by voluntaryism, although it’s well worth consideration for those enjoy the celebration of human liberty.

“If, before undertaking some action, you must obtain the permission of society—you are not free, whether such permission is granted to you or not. Only a slave acts on permission. A permission is not a right.” [Source]Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-11026358064434969182016-06-28T10:47:00.000-07:002016-06-28T10:47:43.552-07:00Take a Chance, Make a Choice, Be the Change

Remember, we are a part of this planet.

It is a new year; the living spaceship we call Earth has completed yet another successful revolution about the sun. The orbiting process seems to have been pretty uneventful from a distance, but looking closer onto the surface of the ship tells a very different tale.

The human race is at a crossroads; we as a species are undergoing a shift that is reflected at every level of our society and the larger system that we have created for ourselves upon this planet. Our consciousness is expanding, and with this comes a growing awareness of how not only ineffective but dangerous the dominant paradigm is towards our continued survival as a species.

The Malthusian-Darwinian paradigm preaches competition, consumption, and survival of the fittest. It suggests that this is the defining characteristic of existence, that this is what happens throughout the rest of nature, and that we as humans are now fitting into the mold. It serves as the justification for our ego-centric, materialistic, capitalistic existence, attempting to convince us that this is what nature programs into our cells.

This is a lie. This is misinformation, perpetuated by the people who benefit from the system in its current state. A society truly modeled after nature is no new concept, humans have been living this way for thousands of years, and it is one based upon harmony and mutual-cooperation. Numerous ancient civilizations have lived in harmony and sustainable with the Earth. We know that it worked then, and we know that it can work now.

In nature, most animals spend their lives living in harmony, with brief periods of competition, not the other way around. Competition does exist, but this only happens when animals are competing after the same resources or are attempting to occupy the same niche. The level of competition present is also dependent upon the scarcity of resources within an environment.

If one’s intent is to destabilize, divide, and conquer in order to establish a small fraction of controlling elites, what way could be more effective than the tactics currently being implemented? By creating a focus upon scarcity, upon competition, upon the ego, upon consumption, and upon fear, the control system successfully influences the choices that we make in order to harness our energy and funnel it towards their own corrupted endeavors.

It’s not that this mentality is outdated, for never was there a time in our history where this could actually be deemed an acceptable or effective modality of existence. This mentality is poison, it is fundamentally flawed, and it is time that we apply not only our feelings but our logic to the situation that we have let carry on for too long.

We do not need the system to survive, the system needs us. It needs the constant influx of our energy to continue spinning and to stay in motion. It is short-sighted, benefits few, hurts many, focuses upon unbridled consumption, constant production, and is highly inefficient. Technology and quality of life is great but is not worth sacrificing our planet, our freedom, and our lives. We can have all of these things. We do not need to give this fractured, failing system our power.

Let us return to the Earth, let us return to the rhythm of life that we feel pulse through our bodies and fills every cell of our beings. Let us return to our home, let us make all our decisions based upon how it affects us, others around us, the planet, and the entire universe. We get to choose where we express our energy, and the more of us that choose sustainable living practices, harmony, and quality over consumption, fear, and quantity, the faster we shall make the change come about.

The organic vessel Earth has been around for a long time. If we want humans to continue to be a part of its journey through the cosmos, and to step into our next evolution of consciousness and our place within the universe, it is up to us. Choose, wisely. Choose love. But ultimately, each and every single one of us must choose.

Unconditional love, and gratitude.

We live in a universe where humanity is slowly waking from a deep slumber. A faction of elites exist in our world with the sole intent of control, to harness and direct our energy in the direction that they please. For too long, the agents of decay have cast a spell of mass hypnosis upon our people that has effectively enslaved us within our own egos.

Their tactics are ingenious. How do you put chains upon an infinite being? The answer is to convince them to put them on themselves. We have been convinced to choose to believe that we are not infinite, and to create limits upon our being. Through the control of information and economics, capitalism with a focus upon the ego and materialism, much of humanity is bewitched. Many are blind to the fact that they are complicit with a completely unsustainable living system that is leading us onward to our own imminent destruction.

Our reality is a product of our own malaise, through our choices of buying into the idea of status quo, comfort and complacency. The qualities of life are growth and decay, and together this forms an endless, infinite dynamic equilibrium of life that we like to call the universe. If we are not consciously choosing to express our energy, follow our joy, bliss, and excitement, then we are not growing and are not in a sense ‘living’. If this is the case, the reality of the situation is that we are slowly decaying.

Yet, hope is not lost. The healing and change is happening as we speak. We are awakening from the illusion of separateness to once again remember that we as humans are not the center of the universe. We share it with an infinite number of beings, we inhabit a planet with an astounding degree of variation of life. We are a part of the whole. We are not alone; we are all-one.

The cause of the situation and the answer is, and has always been, one and the same. Choice. Everything that we experience in our reality we have taken a part in creating through the choices that we have and have not made. The world is in its current state not solely because of the malicious intent of a select few, but because of what we as a species have allowed to take place. To change our world, we must once again exert our will-power, and choose.

This is the responsibility of each and every single one of us, as humans, as fellow planetary travelers, as cosmic voyagers, and as divine, spiritual beings. We begin with ourselves, with the choices that we make, with the energy that we express, and what we allow to happen in every single moment. We change the world by changing ourselves, by embracing our power and the responsibility that comes with it. We heal the world by healing ourselves, by shining light into the dark places of our soul to free ourselves from the judgment and blame that we create.

Collectively, we are clearing the cobwebs from our vessels. We are realizing that we are not machines, and that this is what we become when we act only from the mind and the ego. We are remembering to feel, remembering that the center of our being-ness is our hearts. We are embracing our power, we are becoming informed, and with this awareness we are once again beginning to choose and use the gifts that we have been given in this physical reality.

In every single moment, we have the opportunity to choose love. This choice is superconductive, is incredibly effective, is contagious, and feels amazing. Choosing love sets into motion more love, alters the momentum of the universe and magnifies itself exponentially. While it may be difficult at times, and while many forces may be present that attempt to influence our decisions in the opposite direction, we are still free to choose.

Being the change means making choices, different choices than the ones that perhaps we currently have a tendency to do. When in doubt, remember to choose love.

We have read and heard a number of times that we do not utilize the full capacity of our brain, only a fragment of the forces of our Mind are used in our daily life. The full utilization of the potentials of our Mind would, however, add to our personality an immensely creative force. The question, therefore, arises, how we are able to access the creative forces of our Mind?
In the Captivity of the Mind

The creative force of the Mind is only accessible in the present moment, in the here and now. We need to live in the present time and concentrate our energies to the actual moment in order to be really able to live our lives to the full, to be present in life, and to access the creative forces of the Mind. We are only able to enjoy the happiness and pleasure of the actual moment in the present. If our Mind is roaming the paths of the past or the future, the opportunities that are open to us in the present moment will close down and we will be unable to access the creative forces of the Mind. Instead, we will find ourselves in the captivity of the Mind.

Being in the captivity of the Mind means that we are either the prisoners of our past, or we live under the spell of an imaginary future. If in the majority of our waking hours our thoughts are engaged by the past of the future, in most of the cases we will not be able to act when it is necessary for the opportunities of the present.

In most cases, our Mind is locked up in the prison of the past by an event the outcome of which is unpleasant to us. Our thoughts turn toward that event in the past, we would like do change the course of the events, or we worry what others might think of us because of our improper behavior in that past moment.

Another way of becoming prisoners is when our Mind puts the spell of an imaginary future or the image of a desired, idyllic state upon us. Then we mobilize all our energies to make those images come true, and we tend to pass by the opportunities offered by the present almost blindly.

Yet another way the Mind uses to chain us to our future is our constant worry about what is going to happen to us in the future. We are afraid of, or even fear, the future, our Mind constantly produces scenarios the outcome of which are disastrous for us. We lose our job, we fall ill, our partner leaves us, etc.

A characteristic dimension of the captivity of the Mind is that the Mind is usually rejective, or even hostile, to the present moment. We often think that this or that should not happen that way, I should be somewhere else now, in some much better place. Why do such things only happen to me all the time? Our mind is thus in a constant struggle with the present, and that very struggle is what keeps us in captivity.

Living in the prison of the Mind, we are not in control of our lives, we just drift among the illusions generated by the Mind, and in most cases we are unable to act in the present moment.
Accessing the Creative Powers of the Mind

Let us take a look at a few methods that may enable us to access the creative forces of the Mind, and at the same time may help us to break free of the captivity of the Mind.

1. We must reach beyond the past. Nobody has ever been able to change the past, so all the energy that we use to mull over the past is wasted energy. Instead, concentrate that energy on the present moment, be alert and conscious in connection with everything that we are experiencing in the present moment.

2. Have no fear of the future, since the future is not a reality, it is just a projection of the Mind. Only the present moment exists. What is our present moment like, our imagined future will be like, too.

3. It is only possible to make our future plans come true through our present actions. It is only in the present moment that we are able to do what will affect our future. Let us be careful, however, and do not sacrifice the opportunities of the present on the altar of an imaginary future or the image of an ideal situation. If we are really present in the here and now, and we are able to be happy there, we are not going to have any problem with that in the future either. Future is just a present moment, too.

4. Let us accept the present moment as it is, and do not struggle against it. do not look at the present moment as an enemy, and do not make a judgment over it. Give up the fight, and just be simply present in the here and now. Turn with a conscious and alert attention to whatever is happening in front of our eyes in the present moment.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07737844751533650553noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639063971536941822.post-41485185677166143052016-06-08T09:22:00.000-07:002016-06-08T09:22:54.630-07:00Why Empathy Matters

It’s not easy to stay sensitive in such a cruel, desensitized world but it’s imperative we do. That’s the beauty of empathic souls; they have open and loving hearts, even if it hurts, which is why each of us needs to generate and receive so much love and encouragement.

Loving empathy is its own reward, even if we’re not showered directly with supporting human love as much as we’d prefer. The spiritual is supreme. Connection to Source is our unfailing infinite supply line of everything we need. But I agree, it’s sure nice when that consciousness is manifest in another human being and can be shared between us.

That’s the nature of true interpersonal love, and we need to shower it upon each other.

Empathize or Cauterize

I feel strongly that if we don’t allow ourselves to have broken hearts for the lost and suffering we’re virtually useless consciousness and a betrayal to Source. True heartfelt empathy heals and strengthens ourselves and those around us as we go through this voyage. Letting these sincere emotions course through us, whether it be sharing the pain of battered and betrayed victims of all sorts, including animals, or the sadness of the passing of a dear friend, they’re good for us and are a wonderful opportunity to draw closer to Source.

Using these deep experiences as an energy carrier signal to piggyback other issues on our hearts and minds into the great bosom of Love is a real key. When channeled consciously from the heart, these experiences lead to much greater intuitive understandings, the strength of spirit, and that deep, deep peace that passes understanding.

Those who cannot move with these fully awake empathic spiritual impulses in effect have become cauterized. The media works hard at this, bashing the collective head with desensitizing, violent images and mind crushing propaganda constantly. That’s why they do it. Not just to promote their programs, but to shut down our conscious awareness, the all-empowering Source of love and light.

That’s what they fear the most. That we will awaken and tap into our magnificence.

Counteracting the War against Love

This is fundamentally what this current hijack attempt is all about. Extinguishing love. Love is soft, love is kind. But it is also extremely powerful. Love is a form of creation at work. It contradicts everything we’re witnessing in today’s media driven control structure.

Express your love every chance you get. Others are starved for it just as you are. Give and it will return, but don’t do it with that motive. It just happens naturally, because that is the co-creative nature of love. So many are starved for a word of encouragement, a kind gesture, a thank you or word of appreciation. The downdraft of ugliness is so strong right now we need to support each other in any way we can.

Make yourself vulnerable. It’s the most protected space there is. Put a little love in your heart – and let it out!

Our Warfare Is Spiritual

The forces of darkness cannot overcome the Light, as hard as they may try. Any success they may seem to have at harnessing humanity for their own ends is so very temporary. While we are infinite spiritual beings, they are temporal, parasitic forces.

Keep that in mind, no matter how things may appear at times.

Let’s fully manifest and get this era done away with by letting Universe work fully through us. It happens one heart at a time, but each of us has to keep doing what we’re each meant to do and be.

Stay soft and loving, yet strong and resolved. Our weapons are spiritual – don’t let them entice you into their arena of mind games and ignorant lower vibrational reactionism. Stay where you are strong, yet engage them nonetheless. On your terms.

Thank all of you who give so much. Please know how loved and appreciated you are by so, so many.

Let it flow – we’re just getting started!

What would our world be like today of these top 10 spiritual truths were taught in our schools, in the mainstream media, and in our history books? How can we change the system to introduce these topics to our future generations? What will the world be like after successfully recognizing these spiritual truths?

1. We are spiritual beings on a human journey. Before we came down into this physical body, we planned out the point in time that we would begin to awaken to who and what we are. The womb of our mother was the tunnel of forgetting, and we knew the challenge of remembering would be tough. The biggest risk we took was never remembering. We were never disconnected from our source of light, however, the connection was stretched very long and thin to reach this part of the universe in density. Our challenge is to strengthen this connection and to grow our pillar of light in remembrance and recognition of who we truly are.

2. Our souls never die, we just change our focus. As a spark of light from Source, we are infinitely connected to the flow of experience. When it is time to disconnect the cord of life from our physical body, our spark rises up and out of the human physical body. We take the experience of our lifetime with us, but our focus is changed to a slightly different level of vibration. We still exist as the person we were in human form as well as the many people we have been before. Every lifetime builds experience and wisdom.

3. Everything is energy vibrating at a certain frequency. All living things on earth have consciousness, even rocks, and trees. Everything and everyone is connected to a “tree of life” or an infinite energy source. We can connect to the consciousness of trees and rocks and can carry on conversations with them by tuning into their particular vibrational frequency. Our bodies are 90% water and can be programmed and molded to a certain vibrational frequency via thoughts, sound, color, and love. When we understand vibration, we can understand how alternative and holistic treatments can cure any disease or ailment in the body by changing the water vibration.

4. Our thoughts create our reality. All thoughts are energy which manifests into what we see as reality. Always being aware of your thoughts is one of the first steps in responsible co-creation of your reality. It is a simple concept but takes awareness and work. If every person on earth changed their thoughts towards peace and freedom there would be no war or tyranny. Focusing on negative thoughts will create a lower vibrational frequency and focusing on positive thoughts can raise the vibrational frequency. Our reality is a manifestation of what we create through thought patterns.

5. We are the ones we have been waiting for. There are many races and dimensions of beings on the planet at this time. Cherubim angels, Seraphim angels, Archangels, Pleiadians, Orions, Sirians, Arcturans, Anunnaki..…just to name a few. We volunteered to be here at this time, answering the call from the consciousness of Planet Earth as she cried out for help. We came here from other galaxies, universes, and cosmoses. Many came here each time there was a chance to achieve a “golden age” after the “fall”. Although those times were not completely successful, they were all preparation for this time.

6. Most of us incarnated here before, many times, in order to prepare for this current lifetime. There are souls who are here to be way-showers and leaders and there are souls here who just wanted to be here to witness the raising of vibration of the human race in concert with the planet, which will affect the solar system, the universe, the cosmos, and beyond. For those who lead by example, our schooling never stops. We had many “classes” to take in order to prepare to master ourselves in this incarnation. The scope of the effect this event will have on all of the creation is one of the biggest secrets of all. Some say that the incarnation cycle has ended and this lifetime is the opportunity to release ourselves from the wheel of karma, or the need to balance our actions.

7. We are never alone. We could not exist here without help from our spirit guides and angels or high vibrational beings of light who made agreements with us to help steer us on the path toward the goal of ascension. They exist in another vibrational level or dimension higher than ours- thus, most of us cannot see them. They are always with us and are waiting patiently for us to ask for help, as we live on a free will planet. They abide by laws of interference because of our free will, but if we ask with our highest and best interest they do have creative ways of manifesting what you ask for. Most guidance comes from within- through a process of telepathy where you get an idea in your head. Messages can also come from other people- those who can tap into that vibrational level in order to hear what they have to say.

8. Time is an illusion. We have the past and we have already been to the future. The majority of our energy particles (our souls) exist in a place of “no time”. Time is created in order to experience and is part of the controlled experiment. Meditation or “going within” is the key to returning to the place of “no time” where all the answers lie.

9. Ascension does not involve going anywhere. It is a state of being, a focus of awareness and consciousness into a higher vibrational frequency. It is what we were created for- to “go forth and experience”, and return the experiences back to Source in an infinite loop of co-creation and mastery. The main reward of incarnating in the depths of “hell” at this time is rising like the phoenix from the ashes into the bliss and light of love. This is achieved by being love itself.

10. Love is all there is. Finding and reconnecting to love again is the most important thing we can do as humans. The source is unconditional love, and we are sparks of source- which means we are also love. Therefore, we are that we seek. Loving ourselves unconditionally is the key to returning to the source.

Change starts with each individual person recognizing these truths. We are not responsible for trying to convince others of our own truth, but instead, all we have to do is to “be” truth and the rest will follow. How do we do this? Be the example by speaking your truth, and watch the world change before your eyes. By becoming responsible for ourselves, our thoughts, and our actions, we will have made one great leap toward the future of our children and the future of humanity as spiritual beings on a human journey. We have the greatest opportunity ever in the history of the earth to be the best version of a human being we can be. It is simply up to us as to how glorious we create the future of humanity existing on the spaceship we call Earth.

Many people instantly reach out to allopathic medicines (aspirin, paracetamol, etc.) as soon as they get a headache. It is not that they are unaware of the side-effects; they are, but situations such as an important meeting ahead, a toddler nagging them, etc., increase the urgency to be rid of a headache! Understandable! Nobody likes headaches. But, next time, please try one of these proven folk remedies before you pop a pill.

1. Boil water. Add a spoonful of coriander seeds.
Let it boil for a while till you are able to smell the coriander strongly. Switch off the stove and add half a spoon of tea leaves to the concoction. Close the vessel, and let it stand for a few minutes. Filter and drink it as it is without adding any sweeteners. Sleep or sit down and relax for just ten minutes. If you are lucky, your headache will be gone by this time.

2. Lemon. What can’t it do?
Lemon is very effective and powerful ingredient to treat headache pain. When you drink warm water mixed with some lemon juice, it reduces the intensity of a headache. This particular home remedy is beneficial when a headache is caused due to gas in the stomach. Another option applies lemon crust paste on the forehead to get immediate relief from the pain. At the same time, you may also drink a steaming cup of lemon tea three to four times a day when suffering from a headache.

3. Ginger is also a wonderful medicine for a headache.
If you don’t mind munching on a piece of peeled ginger as it is, perhaps with a dollop of honey, nothing like it. Else, add a spoonful of chopped ginger to 1-1/2 cups of hot water, and let it boil for a few minutes. Then, filter, add some honey and drink it. What a tasty way to banish your headache!

4. Betel Leaves work wonders
Betel leaves are known for their analgesic as well as cooling properties which can hugely help to get rid of a headache effectively within a few minutes. For this remedy, you need to take two to three fresh betel leaves and with the help of a grinder make a fine paste out of it. Now apply this paste on the forehead and both sides of the head for half an hour. Soon you will get relief from the intense pain. At the same time, you can also chew one or two betel leaves to treat a headache.

5. If your headache is due to tension, then chamomile tea works wonders for it!
Nowadays, dried chamomile flower is available in most organic shops. You just need to add a spoonful of the flowers to a glass of freshly boiled water, allow it to infuse for a few minutes, filter and enjoy with a dash of honey. Else, you can buy pure chamomile tea bags (Korakundah is a good brand). This will come in handy when your headaches during office hours!

Body, mind, and spirit are often presented as the “wholeness” of health. However, body, mind, and spirit are poorly defined, poorly distinguished and poorly articulated in many health (sick care) practices.

Philosophers have pondered – for centuries and more – the definitions and locations of mind, and spirit. We often confuse, or mix discussions of body, mind, and spirit with body, mind, and soul. I will not discuss the concept of ‘soul’.

We each have one body, at least two brains, many minds, and many, many spirits. To develop a science of healthcare – as opposed to medicine – we need useful, functional, practical definitions and distinctions.

The Brain

We can start with the brain. In the hierarchy, the brain is an organ or a number of organs. As an organ, it is a collection of tissues that perform certain functions – sensing, filtering the senses and reacting to sensations. The brain is part of the whole body – the collection of all body parts.

Where do you find the mind? In the body? Or in the brain? Nowhere. The mind is separate from the body, separate from the brain. We cannot find the mind in the brain.

How do we recognize the mind, and recognize components and functions of the mind, from components and functions of the brain? The brain can exist without consciousness – the mind is consciousness. There are animals that have a nervous system but no mind. The first functions of the nervous system are to sense danger and food, and then to move the body away from the danger and towards food. When does the mind emerge from the brain? It’s a difficult question, so I propose a simple answer. When we learn to pee. To pee, or not to pee. That is the answer.

Gradually, animals develop sentience, the first hints of thinking consciousness. We don’t need to draw an exact line – we only need a useful distinction. The mind is conscious. Boxers are knocked ‘unconscious’ for short periods of time. We make conscious decisions that can be incredibly complex. The line between the brain and the minds lies in conscious control of the minds, over the body. Yes, we have more than one mind, we are of more than one mind, indecision is an important component of intelligence, an important component of healthiness.

The Spirit

What about spirit? When does our spirit emerge? Shakespeare’s Hamlet discussed a battle of minds and spirits. Our spirits are our wills, our desires, our longings, to live, or not. To be, or not to be. We do not have one spirit. We have many. Take care, it’s easy to confuse ‘sensations’ with ‘spirits’. Some feelings are what we sense. We smell food – and move forward. We feel intolerable heat – and move away from danger. These sensations are feelings. And spirits? We anticipate danger, and we want to move away from it. This is our spirit. Indirect, separate from direct ‘sensation’. Of course, we translate our spirits back into feelings, and complexity arises. We think about death, “to be or not to be”, the thought of death drives away the joy of life drives away the fear of the pain of dying, and we feel melancholy. Is melancholy a feeling? Or a spirit?

Gradually, as complexity grows, consciousness grows to develop awareness of ‘self’. Self-consciousness is an attribute and function of the mind. The mind can remember and think. It can be aware that it is thinking. It can think about thinking. It can think about thinking about thinking, and so on. All the while, the mind is also affected by bodily sensations, feelings, etc. Do whales and elephants, who also have large brains, think about thinking? Or is language required? More questions that might never be answered.

Our minds and our spirits evolved together. They are intricately interlinked, interwoven. Maybe it is folly to try and separate them. Maybe not.

The Mind

People have complex minds, which we use to manipulate not just our body, not just our mind, but also our spirits. We can want to be calm. We can take some deep breaths, and calm our body, minds and spirits. We can use our mind to control our spirits, and we can use our spirits to control our mind. It’s not simple. It shouldn’t be. To ‘want to be’ is an action of spirit, even when the ‘want’ is in the past.

Our mind can sense our feelings, our wants, our spirits. We can use our conscious mind to look at our sensations and ‘feel our own pain’, past – present, and future, and ‘sense our own joy’ – past, present, and future. It can calculate and decide, taking many, often conflicting desires into consideration. Or, as, in Hamlet’s soliloquy, it might decide to not decide, but to ponder. Or did Hamlet’s spirit override the mind, asking the mind to ponder termination of life, and with it, termination of the spirit?

As the mind cannot be found in the nervous system, the brain, or the body, the spirit cannot be found in the mind. It emerges as the complexity of the mind, the brain, the body rises. The spirit can fade too if the body, brain, and mind are so overloaded that they can barely perform their base functions. The mind too can fade or disappear when we are knocked unconscious. When we say someone is ‘brain dead’ – they often have a brain, but it is not in control. They are ‘mind dead’, ‘spirit dead’. This circumstance can be mild, moderate, or severe as the mind and the spirit shrink or lose function. Our medical systems, with their fear of ‘spirits’, don’t recognize spirit death nor weakness of spirit – except perhaps in a moralistic sense.

We can recognize the mind, and the spirit. The mind exercises control, sometimes in very, very complex ways. The spirit wants to exercise control, even if we are not certain what we want.

Community

There is another layer in the hierarchy of life, the hierarchy of healthcare. We each have many minds, many spirits, but one body. When we combine our bodies, our minds, and our spirits, we create another layer – community. We create communities that are very, very complex, that have minds, and wills – spirits of their own. There is no difficulty distinguishing the community from the body, minds, and spirits. Maybe that’s why the community is almost invisible to health (sick care) practitioners – because it is in plain sight. Easy: to see, or not to see.
